And can this be use other way around without the cardboard on?** A: The materials are finished on the sides and the back. The front sections are open so cube drawers can be inserted. **Q: Can these be stacked?** A: I would guess they could...I have not done so, so I can not honestly say yes or no... **Q: Are the edges sharp or pretty smooth?** A: The edges are pretty smooth, although the corners are sharp. The customer service is the best I have ever seen. The box was damaged during shipping. The front of one of the dividers was crushed. I contacted customer service. Within an hour they contacted me requesting additional information so they could send me the correct replacement part. The part was shipped the same day and received the next day. I assembled it that day and encountered no problems.
