Q: will it work on a microsoft surface laptop 3? the vents are on the back

I usually place these 2 circular pads an inch or two from the rear of my computer, but I don’t have vents underneath. The pads are small - 1.5 inches and don’t attach.

Q: Isn't bad having magnets to use it close to the laptop?

Any brought since yes. Magnets are not good around the hard drive. With the transition to solid-state hard drives, it lessens the impact. Moreover, the magnets are on the bottom of. The pads, and did not interfere with the computer. I have been using mine for nearly a year without incident.

Q: Can you remove the magnets?

Yes, infact one of mine pops out on its own and sticks to the other one all the time. They come out pretty easily.
