Nothing short of spectacular for picky eaters, great ingredients, low calorie, for dogs AND cats
This product is, without hyperbole, nothing short of spectacular for picky eaters on prescription diets. My 19-year-old cat had renal failure and was losing weight rapidly; he needed a prescription diet that provided calories but given his condition, would eat nothing. Bought this more or less blind--wanted a topper that was easy to apply that also was nutritious, affordable, and well reviewed--and he ate. Now, towards the end nothing short of pureed baby food (and then nothing at all) would work, but it did work for a while.Even better results with my slightly overweight pup now. He's always been a picky eater, but has ballooned from 18 to 23 lbs and definitely needs to lose weight. My sister is a vet and recommended a very high fiber and protein dry rx diet that I'm sure tastes like a combo of wasa crackers and cardboard... needless to say, he was a big "uh uh!". So I found my old packet of leftover SuperGravy and applied it and Enzo's all over the nasty dry food. Of course he prefers wet food or treats or french fries, for that matter, but he's eating all of his food. I even found that if I was in a hurry just sprinkling in a bit of topper dry with the dry food made him interested in it.Three notes:1. The original formula (from about five years ago?) has changed. Ran out of the old stuff, so bought a new one (with a little hesitation because I didn't know if it'd have the same "zing" as the old one, which had bison instead of beef). But the old version also didn't "melt" when combined with warm water. This new stuff will mix with even cold water easily. And my dog doesn't seem to have any problem with the new formula. I was worried at first, but now quite happy because it's easier to work with and he likes it just as much.2. I don't use as much as is suggested. My dog is small, and I feed him 3 1/2 cup servings of the RX food a day. I use about half a scoop for each, either with water or not. It might not be the most cost-efficient option if you have a larger dog that eats more, but just a little bit gives it enough scent and taste to make him happy.3. I was pretty shocked when I saw that both Fakespot and ReviewMeta gave these "fail" and "F" grades, meaning that the sites pick up that there are fake and/or incentivized reviews here. Now, I haven't read through all the reviews and it would be a bad thing if this company had at some point paid people to review this positively, but I'll say for myself that this is a lifesaver (literally, in the case of my cat), and the ingredients appear--to my non-expert eye--great. I even left feedback on ReviewMeta that I was surprised to see the grading and that as a very satisfied customer I was really happy with it.So if you're hesitating, strongly suggest trying this topper. It's not the most cost-effective one out there, but it's definitely great as tested by two different animals that were PICKY and did well with both dog and cat.

My Lab LOVES this!
I’ve seen a lot of grumbly reviews about the gravy, not being thick enough. If you just look at the “Product Details”, it clearly states that the gravy is not “thick“. My dog loves this dry dog food enhancing liquid, and I put it over her dry food to make it more palatable. My dog is a very picky eater, but this “gravy” enhances her appetite and she happily eats her food and licks up the remaining liquid. She loves it and I feel good knowing that it’s not some product that’s going to make her fat or harm her teeth.

My dogs did not care for the taste!
All three of my small dogs were not happy and did not eat the three different times I offered it to them. Sorry to say that my picky eaters were simply not impressed.

Good lord, this stuff reeks. But the dog loves it
This has got to be the worst-smelling stuff on Earth. Honestly, I came to check out the Amazon reviews to make sure I didn't have a bad batch or something.Well, barring illness or disaster (and I'll update my review if there's a catastrophe), I guess this stink bomb gets five stars from me.I feed my dog the Hill's Prescription kibble for skin and stomach sensitivity. She's a 14-year-old mini Schnauzer, and she's been slightly overweight all her life, so it's imperative that I be able to sneak ground-up thyroid pills into each of her meals (Pill Pockets don't fool her anymore). She's a very picky eater, as well. We've had so-so luck using various bone broth toppers. We've had terrific experiences with an expensive boutique gravy, but that stuff goes bad a couple days after you open it, and she just doesn't eat that much that fast. This is one of the few other gravy toppers out there, and I really appreciate that it comes in powdered form--I'm a nervous wreck when it comes to food spoiling and, with pet food, how would I even know? This way I can dish up just one serving at a time, leaving the rest of the broth dust in the bag.The "Paw Jus" IS like an au jus--a very thin gruel--but, boy, she loves it! She keeps staring up at me like the hero I am (or maybe because she wants another serving of dinner).I think we've found the one we're gonna stick with.

Not much to say other than my dogs love and expect this in their food and will get sassy when she doesnt see me put it in there.

It just makes flavored water
No matter how you mix this, it’s just going to make flavored water, not a gravy to use as a topper. And definitely not anything that looks like these ad pictures. I feed my puppies raw and homemade food, but my husband also bought the purple bag of victor (kibble) because that’s what the breeder left out for them. They won’t touch the kibble, even when I pour this “Super Gravy” on top and/or mix it in with their kibble. All they do is drink the flavored water it makes. Waste of money. I’ll continue feeding raw.
