LagunaPF2000 13W Pressure Flo Filter

It's smaller than the old model (which lasted 9 years) so I was a bit suspicious, but after 30 days I have no complaints. Keeps my 300 gallon pond crystal clear.

I bought a house with a koi pond, I had no idea how maintain it so I spent two years trying to figure out how to get the water to look crystal clear and nothing worked - I was ready to give up on it so basically this filter was my last hope. When I installed it the water was thick green full of algae and dirt, in three days of having the full filtration on I could already see my fish and about a foot in the water - within two weeks my water was crystal clear and now is pride and joy of my background. This product is absolutely amazing, I had to write a review and tell my story! Oh and the backwash OMG super. Easy, takes me 5 minutes. A must buy!!!!! Buy it, buy it, buy it!!!!

I had an issue when I first received these and ALMOST sent it back. I noticed that the ultra-violet light wasn't working. Even after working with Hagen, they couldn't figure out why TWO of these didn't work. But, I figured it out and now the units are both doing fine. When they packaged these, the UV bulb was not in its connected recepticle in the crystal tube. It was simple to fix:a) Test the unit in a darkened room but just long enough to see if the indicator lights come on (don't run the UV without water for more than a second or two)b) If not working, follow the directions to "Change out the Lightbulb". You'll probably notice the bulb is loose.c) Reseat the bulb in it's recepticle. Careful not to break it.d) Put the unit back together per the instructions and retest. The indicator should come on this timee) Make sure you do the leak tests after doing this to make sure the seals are good - run for 24-hours without the electricity first. Don't mix water with electricity. Check to see there are no leaks into the crystal sleeve.

Bought this filter 8 month’s ago. Used in small koi pond. Last night I seen pop up clean indicater up. First time cleaning the pads this mourning. I did not back wash, took apart and washed pads. Lots of muck, only took about 45 min. Lubed rubber o rings for hoses and tank o ring with silicone grease. No leaks. So far the best filter I have had.

prior unit used in koa pond lasted 10 yrs plus. ordered new PT-3000 and experienced defective back wash function = water continues flow from back wash outlet in off position. I had to place a dummy plug on outlet to use unit = not user friendly but likely not a common problem. All past purchases performed excellent as advertised.

This is a great pressure filter. I am glad I spent the money versus one of the cheaper ones which have very mixed reviews and seem to suffer with a lot of leaking problems. So far after a couple of weeks it is working fine and zero leaking. My only recommendation would be to put a shut off valve on the backwash outlet versus having to change the cap for the hose fitting. I just installed a valve at the end of the hose and can leave it on permanent.Spend the extra money on this filter. You will not regret it.

I highly recommend Laguna pond filters. This is the second one I've owned. Good construction, solid, and they do a good job. I take out the water and leave it open (top loosely on) in the winter to prevent damage over the winter (I'm in NY). Does the job.

The pf1000 was a lot smaller than expected, but I do like the design and and how simplistic the product is to get working. I knew the pf1000 was not gonna come with bio-media, but I didn't realize till I got it that there is no room in filter for any to be added at your own expense. Also the sponges are fairly coarse and will alow for water to flow easily and pick up any lager debris, but would be nice to have option for a finer polishing filter. This product is still a great filter for a smaller pond.

I decide to do a waterfall pond, then about a few weeks later my wife said, she wants fish in the pond. Well, I knew nothing about the fish part and filters. After building the pond and just using a pump, everything was great. Then she wanted fish well after two weeks the pond was green because I had no filter, as I wasn't planning on fish. After researching filters I came across this one. I had no idea what I was doing but this had a lot of good reviews. After the first day of after setting this up which was easy and I like easy "you have to run it 24 hours before putting the uv light on", I didn't notice much. It took about 4 days to start seeing crystal clear water. I back washed it for the first time and it was easy and fast, no mess. I've had this for about 2 weeks now and this is one amazing filtration. My wife thinks I'm a super star. Fingers crossed. The connections were easy. This is a great product. Hopefully I'm not jumping the gun and saying all these great things and it breaks and then I have to write a nasty review.

This unit cleared my water up crystal clear within 2 days. I had a smaller Laguna and it finally gave out. I upgraded to the larger size and am so impressed. Highly recommend this to any pond owners.

Works well but brushes quickly snapped off the interior canister so I must totally disassemble for any sort of cleaning. Sort of annoying.

Just got this filter up and running and I am super-impressed. It took me a little bit to figure out the instructions and get it working because I am a wee bit technologically challenged. Once I got the hoses connected there was some small leaks around the fittings, however, a bit of teflon tape took care of any leaks. Together with the Laguna Max-Flo 2400 pump my pond is sparkling clean and any debris is handled very quickly. I haven't had the need to use the backwash feature yet.
