One of the better ones
Works great for heavy outer rust and penetration. Not as much waiting (or waiting forever, for other products to do nothing.) Definitely a specialty product. Plenty of stuff can do the same, but this can do it faster and just as well...usually better.

Very useful stuff.
It's not magic, but it's done the job for me a few times now, alternating between this and heat.

It actually works
I could not get the under car aluminum cover off to change the oil in our 2023 Civic. The rear two screws were frozen. I followed the directions on the can and sprayed each for 10 seconds. I added a few taps on each screw head with a small hammer (not in the directions) After 5 minutes I used a JIS Phillips screw driver and they backed out with a firm turn on the screw driver. This would not have happened without the Freeze Off. I had previously tried with two different penetrating sprays.

Worked really well on tough rusted bolts
Worked better than WD-40, IMO on tough rusted bolts.

Test it as soon as you get it
I bought this Freeze-Off on Feb 5th and put it on a shelf till I needed it - which turned out to be today, March 25th. The return window has closed, but "what could possibly go wrong" with a fresh can of CRC product? I just needed to remove a 12 mm long (6 mm thread OD) steel, pan head screw from an aluminum engine block. Following instructions, I attached the applicator straw and directly blasted the screw head (left one in the pic) for 30 seconds, but noticed a considerable amount of oil, no obvious signs of cold, and the screw wouldn't budge. So, I used a non-contact thermometer to measure the temperature of a small wrench that I laid on my workbench. A 30-second blast on the wrench produced a temperature of 45 degrees F - not exactly freezing, let alone providing a Freeze-Shock Action. However, I did get quite a puddle of penetrating oil on the bench. I've actually used this product a few years ago and was totally satisfied with it. So, I'll try another can, purchased this time from a local auto parts store. And based on other reviews I've seen here, one might consider actually testing the product when it arrives, and before storing it till needed.

Awesome Product
I spent about a week working on a rusty bolt that snap off in my differential on my Jeep. I soaked the area with PB blaster several times throughout each day, used heat (blow torch), drilled the center and attempted to use an extractor... the screw did not budge. Luckily there was enough of the bolt left to use a pair of vice grips which was my main tool after trying the extractor. The vice grips just stripped the bolt (bolt still didn't budge) until I used Freeze-off. I followed the instructions and applied the spray for 20-30 seconds and waited a few minutes then grabbed my vice grips for one last attempt before giving up and going for the drill plus tap (really didn't want to do that). Then.... it budged... about a quarter turn. One more round of freeze-off and delicate pressure with the vice grips and the bolt came out. I'm sold for life.

Penetrates around tough to remove screws & bolts so you can remove them easily.
I had some "frozen" bolts on my old lawnmower that no wrench in my shop could loosen. I did a once around on all the bolts and let it soak in for a half-hour or so and - PERFECT! They all came off so I could do my repairs. This Freeze-Off would probably work well for tough to remove screws or bolts on car repair. Good stuff!
