MARVEL LEGENDS 2 PK FIGURE - HUMAN TORCH & INVISIBLE WOMAN

I've been waiting for sufficient fodder to cobble together a Klassic Kirby version of the FF. This Sue & Johnny set fit the bill, along with the Reed & Ben "Classic Colors" set. Extensive reworking was necessary. Sue & Ben worked pretty much "as is," but I resprayed all the blue uniforms (and all of Ben) with Dullcote, brushing clear gloss onto the black uniform parts. BIG improvement. Reed's torso is too muscular, and his stretched limbs are far too heavy for his body to support (loose joints notwithstanding).Johnny was a mess. He's TOO TALL relative to Reed. His head sculpt was...bizarre, and his facial features looked too old. But his worst features? His neck is way too long, and he is "long-waisted." I removed his head...which was NOT easy...and replaced it with a "teen" Peter Parker head, after painting Peter's hair yellow (also painted Sue's hair to match). I actually used an exacto saw to cut away a thin section of Johnny's neck and waist. His head still turns, but I had to lose the cut joint at his waist (which I didn't care for anyhow). Now Johnny looks 100% better, more like a teen, with human proportions...and is the right height.

Great 2-Pack probably the best Invisible Woman figure made. Torch figure is great as well just would like one made without the flame pieces all over him.

Since Marvel is not going to produce any Fantastic Four comic books or merchandise for awhile, I am really glad I purchased this when I did.
