I was pleasantly suprised with this toy. For a Chinese product, this is a very well built toy. It is a very good replica of a broom handle Mauser. I was impressed. It shoots the projectiles well. Just the right amount of force. Bullets well made. I have not seen toys like this, this well made for a long time. The sherif star I think took away from the overall feel of the quality of the package. It's got a safety pin soldered to the back of the star with what looks like someone with a black sharpie highlighting the word on the front. Not a big deal though as the meat and potatoes part of this toy was a game winner, the gun itself. This can also get kids ready to handle, load and fire an auto loading pistol. They get used to removing the magazine and loading the magazine and racking the slide. Thanks for a great product.

The shape and functionality are good, but the spring is very weak. Possibly that's because the plastic body is not very durable. The plastic projectiles are fine, though "soft" is subjective. They only shoot maybe 4 feet.

I got the Mauser C96 Toy Gun and the Bull Dog Revolver, this is for the Mauser. As a base for a prop or costume piece this is really nicely sized and decently sturdy. A great cheap choice to make Han Solo's blaster or to complete a 1940s costume. As a toy it is MUCH better than the revolver. The magazine doesn't hold nearly as many bullets as it seems like it should, and it's range is kind of cute compared to even the cheapest of nerf knockoffs... but it does shoot, and the action of cocking and firing is pretty satisfying. I'll have a bit of fun lobbing the bullet at the sofa for my cats to chase for a bit then take the thing apart for painting. Worth it as a prop, probably give it a pass as a toy.
