Q: How to prime the pallette?

I squeezed out watercolors and started to paint. If you wanted to remove any shine on the plastic you could use a scrubby. I found no reason to do anything but start painting. Worked just fine for me.

Q: Is it air tight? I'd like something that I can use that will keep my water colors from drying out.

Well, that is a very good question. After extensive research, I have determined that it depends on the tightness of your air. In all seriousness, though, it isn't air tight.

Q: Are the paint wells slanted? Are the wells sharp edged where it might damage brush bristles?

No, the wells are flat. I've not had a problem with the "sharpness" of the edges; I don't find them damaging or harsh what so ever.

Q: Has anyone attempted to use the individual half/full pans that are removeable for this pallete or do you have to directly put in your own paint?

I have never tried to put half pans in pallets. Always just tube paint
