Best of all singing groups
I just love to listen to this singing group and continue finding Audio CD’s to complete my collection. No other group can sound better than them in my personal opinion

Very good gospel CD.
The Oak Ridge Boys did a great job covering all of the gospel songs of yesteryear. I especially enjoyed Richard's bass singing of "You Sho' Do Need Him Now". There aren't any bad things that I could think of that would prevent me from recommending this album to anyone. If four-part harmonies and gospel songs are your thing, then I recommend that you should get this album. I can hardly wait for their next gospel album to come out.

More Good Music from the Oaks
Time has worn rough edges on some of the vocals, but BACK HOME AGAIN is still a quality collection of great songs and soaring harmonies. As with most of their recent releases, the boys take a more spare approach to production, even bordering on bluegrass at times; along with Dwayne Allen, the songs are produced by Ben Isaacs. This album contains a lot of classics--including country songs like the title track and Dolly Parton's "Coat of Many Colors," songs which might seem out of place on a gospel album except for the emphasis on the sacredness of home and family and the integration of old-fashioned values. Most of the gospel classics are engaging and will be ones to listen to over and over. One exception to that is "That Great Gettin' Up Morning," which I think was an attempt to emulate the black gospel sound; it just comes across as growling and gravelly. A particularly engaging track is "The River of Jordan," with its multi-tiered story telling that takes it from the purely biblical to the wholly practical--and it has some of the tightest and clearest harmonies you'll hear. The final track, "Heaven Bound" really sounds a bit too contemporary for the collection, but it still fits with the overall eclectic theme. "I Get To" is a newer song that merges gospel and secular themes in a natural way, and it features fine lead vocals from Dwayne. This is not the Oaks of the "Elvira" days. This is a group that is revisiting its roots, both musically and lyrically. They do it convincingly, if not without a few bumps along the way. Add it to your collection of Oak Ridge Boys music, especially if you are a fan of gospel music.

Good as ever!
What can I say? I love the boys and this CD is a wonderful blend of their old sound and their newer material. It's great to see them once again honor their gospel roots.

Sounding old.
Group is beginning to sound quite old and worn. Not the quality I've come to expect from them. Time for them to retire.

This is a beautiful CD - varied and from the heart. Saw them in Lynden WA last summer and this CD brings back the great memories of this event. I listen to it all the time.
