Thule Daypack Backpacks

I find myself quite enthusiastic about bags of any type (maybe fussy), and I can say that I finally met a backpack that meets my requirements. Choosing a laptop bag is really a subjective task, but to help other people who are in the market for a nice laptop backpack, I would like to share my experience with this item.The Stravan seemed just a little bit too compact for my use, but it has proved that I was over-concerned. I have had a primary idea of a backpack to carry a day-to-day 15" laptop and other bits and pieces, which can, along with it, accommodate a small mirrorless camera gear 'bag' to let me get around with the camera bag only. I had already bought a compact one that takes a mirror-less camera with a typical 50mm lens plus a slightly tall lens. The Stravan does a marvelous job to achieve this modular packing despite the catalogue's dimensions! It is designed to have quite a gusset expansion. With the camera bag sitting snugly at the bottom of the main space, the outer pocket expands to house an external USB hard drive case, a power adapter of the laptop, a mobile phone, pens, and so on, without getting too tight or bulging badly.The garment is quite thin and light, but has a water resistant finish from inside, and the fasteners look tight enough to cope with light rain, although this is yet to be demonstrated. Apart from it, all its fasteners are easy to handle and run smoothly on this particular bag. I must mention that the last Thule laptop backpack I bought "Crossover" was short-lived because the main fastener came off the stitch after a few months of use. This particular Crossover had some resistance at the corner whilst pulling the fastener's tape that caused the ripping. It was a quality check issue during manufacture since I came across a good one in a street shop. Although Thule boasts a 25-year quality guarantee, the cost of getting a replacement is too huge realistically for this sort of things.The pocket arraangement is far better than Crossover or Subterra, objectively speaking. Thule's favourite feature 'Safezone' hard-shell space does not get in the way of taking things out of the main space unlike Crossover. The layout of the inner pockets on the outer pocket is also better designed than those, and the side-mouth pocket is simply handy to shove small things like phone charger cable and memos. Lastly, the laptop section offers a decent cushion on the bottom, and quick access comfortably to the laptop and the tablet.Overall, with the comfortable shoulder straps with a chest strap, I am happy that this backpack feels like a part of my body.

My husband loves this bag. I bought it as a Valentines gift and spent hours researching rucksacks that weren't too big and not too small with maximum storage and ease of use. The sunglasses pouch at the top has a hardened case around it so it protects them from accidental damage. The fabric used to make the bag is really good quality and looks great. If you are looking for a subtle yet practical and good quality bag that you will get loads of use from you will not be disappointed with this!

I've been using this bag for a couple weeks at college now and it's absolutely brilliant! It may seem expensive for a bag, but when you get down to it, it's the best you're going to get. The amount of separate pockets on here has turned me from a disorganised mess to somebody who can find a pen and the correct assignment of many in just a few seconds! The hard case is excellent and has protected my phone and other goods several times now, including when I fell onto my back whilst wearing the bag - needless to say everything was still intact!I've not yet had chance to test the laptop or tablet compartments properly, but instead have been using them for paperwork - even after my tumble the paperwork was uncreased, which while not of the sample value or delicate nature as a laptop it's certainly reassuring.Overall this bag is fantastic, the pockets are nicely lined, zippers are smooth and sturdy and the bag is lightweight and not a burden to carry around with you.

I have used the Thule Stravan backpack for a couple of months now and I only have good words for it. Well balanced, keeps my MacBook Pro and my iPad safe. I have one small complaint though. The middle compartment is kind of "flat" and does not have too much space for my electronics (chargers, battery packs, etc). I solved the problem with the Cocoon Grid it (medium size) and now everything is perfect and well organized!

I am super picky on what I look for in a laptop bag and it matches my laptop sleeve bag I own too. I was little concerned that the shoulder straps would be too wide but they fit perfectly.
