Q: How can I purchase a nozzle and liner replacement? I could not find them at Amazon.com or any place else online.

The spout falls off of mine fairly often, breaking the glass liner. I contacted the seller. They replaced it without cost the first time but wanted a delivery charge after that. I have a spout from a previous distiller, without a glass liner, that connects more securely but still falls off periodically. They couldn't tell me how to attach the spout securely so it doesn't fall off and break the liner

Q: Has this increased your electric bill? I have been using and my electric bill increased over 2000 kw. Only thing I am doing different is this.

It doesn't seem possible that only running the distiller would account for that much of an increase. The distiller is rated as using 750 w, so if it is running constantly 24/7 this would increase your energy usage by 18 kw per day, or 540 kw per month.

Q: What are the Cleaning crystals made from?

I've been using this type of distiller for about two years now. I've learned that if you put a teaspoon of food grade acidic acid in the boiler it will keep prevent sediment from building up on the bottom of the boiler. I believe it actually keeps the minerals dissolved in the water until the concentration is too high. It actually allows me to process about 5 - 6 batches of water before I have to clean it out. On the 5 - 6 batch you'll see the water getting cloudy and a residue starts building up on the bottom. At this point I dump out the remaining water and rinse the boiler out. The acidic acid also keeps the residue from forming a hard crust so you can easily clean it with a brush or rough sponge. I typically run the distilled water through a carbon filter (Burkey) to remove any metallic taste too.
