Clear Crisp Sound
This mic works with my Motorola Droid Turbo 2 phone and Samsung Galaxy Tab E tablet.YouMic sent a "Thank You" email with an operation guide. In order to access the audio controls, you have to download an "Open Camera" app ( a free app I already used). I was excited to try it and then quickly became disappointed. I could not hear myself during playback. I quickly emailed the company for assistance. Then I realized the fault was mine. You have to remove the mic from the jack in order to hear playback. After I realized this, all was good. The mic delivers a clear crisp sound. The response from YouMic was most impressive. When I emailed them about the problem I thought I had, the response was quick. The product itself comes with a lapel clip, two windscreens (red and black), a separate 2 strip jack and a little red carrying bag.I give it 5 stars not just for the product but for the company's response as well. I am very happy with this purchase and look forward to vlogging with my selfie stick.

This is a very good product. However
This is a very good product. However, it just doesn't work for what I wanted it to.The packaging is really nice. It comes with the mic, an adapter plug, and an extra filter (so you now have a black and a red one). The mic's cord has a small velcro strip attached so when you roll up your mic it can be contained without bending or getting tangled. The bag is nice as well, it's a pull close bag and just the right size.It works very well on my phone. I considered this mic because of some of the videos filmed while using the mic. These videos stand true and the mic works much nicer than the default phone mic. I have a splitter so that I can use my headphones and microphone at the same time and while you have to use the adaptor with it, it still works fine. No quality lost. However, in the end I got this because it said it was compatible with computers but when I've tried to get it to work it won't. My computer reads it as there but won't recognize it as a functioning microphone. I'm disappointed, but not enough to return the product.Overall, it's a good product but I couldn't get it to work on my laptop. Everything else is nice so for $12 I'll just keep it.

Great audio quality for a great price plus extras!
This lavalier microphone is pretty amazing. Im giving it five stars because it provides pretty damn good audio for a reasonable price. I love that it comes with its own little bag and extra accessories such as the extra black/red wind screen. The stereo adapter that it comes with is very appreciative since it allows you to use the mic with other devices besides just a smartphone. The only downfall of the extra adapter is that it makes the tip longer and slightly awkward, but it feels pretty secure once its connected. As far as audio quality, the mic seems to have a true omni-directional pick-up pattern and records a good range of frequencies. Great bass, good mids, however the treble could be slightly better but nothing to worry about. The clip is rather bulky, so though the mic is small, as a whole it could be hard to hide if using this mic for narrative filming. I would say its perfect for interviews and any creative youtube video. If your in the market for an inexpensive, but relatively decent lavalier mic, then YouMic is a live saver! Small, great audio quality, inexpenisve, and includes extras.

Dear Microbudget Filmmakers: Buy this Lav (or Two or Three)
This mic is seriously fantastic. I'm an independent filmmaker from a microbudget background. Most folks in the microbudget filmmaking world insist on using on-camera shotguns or cheap boom mics to record dialog, a practice that turns in almost exclusively noisy, reverb-y audio. I'm telling you, guys: use lavs. This mic is small, easy to hide, and records directly to a smartphone*. I used the Voice Recorder Pro 7 app for iPhone, which allows you to record with professional settings, level controls, and even silence detection for voice over or notes. Between this mic and the app, the setup costs roughly $20 and will deliver excellent results if you place the mic properly and don't screw up the levels. I'm not an audiophile, so I'm sure this cheap lav has drawbacks, but to me it sounds indistinguishable from most of the professional audio I deal with as a freelance editor working in documentaries and television.*Mic was not compatible with my Zoom H1, no idea if works with an H4n, but honestly the app is pretty darn easy to use and smart phones are usually easy to hide on your talent.

I haven’t found any negatives about this product.
I recently started my first podcast, which I record completely on my iPhone because I’m usually in the streets or in different locations when I interview people. Before I started publishing episodes, I did a lot of testing for sound with different products. I tested 4 different mics before purchasing two of these amazing mics. The mics I used before usually crapped out on me, didn’t have consistent audio quality, was made of cheap material, and many other number of things. I finally found these mics and decided to try them out. Once I opened the package I immediately noticed the high quality materials they used to make them. Once I finally tested the audio quality, I was absolutely blown away. I am highly impressed with both mics I purchased and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality mic at a fair price. I have had them now for a little over a month and I have yet to find any negatives with them. Buy as many as you can afford, right now!
