A great price for a set of banana plugs
A great price for a set of banana plugs, it came with 14 pair, enough for a 7 channel surround set up with banana plugs on both the receiver and speaker. Banana plugs make life simple, and keep sound quality high, for starters it makes a strong solid connection, so you are efficiently moving power from the amp to the speaker. Given that copper develops a patina over time when exposed to the air (hence why the statue of liberty is green and why pennies aren't always shiny) it increases the impedence of the speaker and makes your amp work harder to produce lower quality sound, the banana plug eliminates that by not exposing the copper wire to air, the connector is gold plated so it won't corrode or patina over time. The product is super simple to use, you unscrew the two halves and slide the outer collar over the stripped speaker wire, and you screw the two parts back together and it's done. So simple that after I labeled and stripped the wires, I let my 10 year old son put the banana plugs on and hook the speakers up to the receiver, it was that simple. The only critical thing I will say about this product which some people may love is that the plug isn't as tight as some others are, this makes it easier to push the connectors in which some people may like, but given that there are tighter plugs I had to deduct something, if possible, I would have deducted a half star, the connection is tight enough to not compromise sound quality and is gold plated so it won't degrade over time. But if the wire gets tugged on it could come out so something to keep in mind, if your speakers have banana plug inputs and are going to be installed in the wall, this is an absolute yes, if the speakers are in the room, and there are no kids or animals who could move the wire and thus possibly cause it to come out (my speakers are in the ceiling, but the receiver is in the room where a 4 year old plays and he has bumped the wire, but given that I left slack it did come out of the receiver) you may to consider something tighter, however, I have plenty of slack in the speaker wire, I left an extra 2 feet to accommodate different placement and or furniture/equipment in the future, so the cables are not any near tight so I don't really have an issue, but for those with existing wires that can't be lengthened this could maybe present a slight issue to consider.

Great Deal!
I realized I never left a review for the Sewell Strikes since last year. Well then, consider this a long term user review. I’ll be very brief. These are built like solid little tanks. Has a great weight to them as again, it’s all solid construction. No screws needed! Just measure out your speaker cable and crimp, strip and twist. Only need about a 1/4 to 1/2 exposed cable. Unscrew the plug, take the lower portion and place over the cable. Take the top portion, push the wire in tight, and just hand tighten up the screw in plug. Very easy. Test it with a couple light pulls and your good to go. I just love the quality of these and really appreciate the ease of use. I used some pretty thick 12 gauge cable and had no problem. If I need more, I would buy these again. I also appreciate how compact they are, fitting on the binding post easily and secure. Great deal!

Really great product. I ordered more
After I ran out of my third re-order of the Sewell Strike Banana Plug Connectors; I needed connectors immediately for a project that I was working on. Because the Sewell Strikes were on back order, I ended up trying several other brands with various designs, even some Designer Label brands worth a lot more money. Nothing compared to the Strike Banana plugs. So I ended up ordering more of the Strike Banana Plugs and returning to my project and substituting the other designer brands for the Sewell Strikes once they arrived. Not an efficient way to do business, I agree. But I wanted to get the best connectors that I could and knew that the Sewell Strikes would not fail. This is a really great product. They are well designed and very easy to install. These plugs will even fit onto Monster Cable. The design makes a strong and excellent connection that won't pull out. They are streamlined and compact enough to fit into tight connection spaces better than any other designs that I tried.Extremely well made, and clever, highly functional design. I Highly recommend this product after trying many other connector plugs.I have now purchased multiple orders of the Sewell Strike Banana Plugs and will stock up on my next order, so I don't run out again.I have never seen them at a reduced price, however they are well worth the full asking price.

ABSOLUTE BEST
These are the best among the dozens I've tried! Easiest to attach. Least likely to short out. Most comact. Most solid. Indestructible in reasonable or even unreasonable use. One pays a premium, but they are worth it. No wasted time or effort. No damaged amps. SImply the best!

A Breeze to Use
I like these lower profile banana plugs for their convenience, (no tools required except wire stripper for speaker wire), and because they are well made. The only caveat for me, (4 stars instead of 5), is that while they screw down quite well with normal hand strength on smaller wire gauges, (e.g. 16 awg and smaller), when I attached them to some 14 awg wire I had to use 2 pair of pliers to snug them down tight enough that the wire couldn't be pulled out with nominal force by hand. If I were making speaker wire runs with 14 awg and thicker wires in the future I'd probably use a different banana plug, perhaps the Sewell deadbolt plug which I have just ordered a few of as I needed just a couple more to finish wiring up two systems.I've used other banana plugs in the past and most were pretty rinky dink, barely acceptable, or were very pricey and involved lots of install time. These were a breeze and make a solid connection. I'd buy them again for 16 awg or thinner gauge runs in a heartbeat.
