Richard Scarry's Cars and Trucks and Things That Go

I'm an older millennial and I bought this for my daughter because I recognized it and remembered it being one of my favorites when I was young. I was worried that it wouldn't hold up since it's so dated, but that was unfounded. Since the day we got it, it's been a round 1 bedtime bedtime selection every night. The story is easy to follow and engaging enough to not get too too boring to read. There are so many characters and vehicles on every page that there's almost always something new that has been missed in past readthroughs. Also, the running theme of finding goldbug keeps a toddler engaged and feeling rewarded every page.

It funny and colorful book

My son loved this book as a child. We had all the Richard Scarey titles. These books may have been the cause of his ADHD. Richard Scarey loved a busy town!

Richard Scarry is a classic. I bought this for my two year-old grandson. He calls it the “GoGo book”. We can spend hours looking at all of the detailed illustrations. He’s learning words and occupations and insights into the world. It’s also incredibly humorous even on an adult level There is a little tiny gold bug on every page. We have fun looking for gold bug hidden within the illustrations This is the kind of book that will grow with a child. It is interesting for any age.

If you have not read this book to your young children, you will enjoy this book. It is a classic. Finding Goldbug captivated my two kids 35 yrs ago and I purchased the book again for my two young grandkids. Our granddaughter has LOVED finding Goldbug on each page and getting to know Officer Flossy, Dingo Dog, Mistress Mouse, the Pig Family, Homer and so many more. So much to look for and enjoy on each page. In a few more months our grandson will be old enough to start enjoying this classic.

It’s a good quality book that will be fun to read

This Richard Scarry Cars and Trucks and Things That Go book is delightful. We are giving this to our three year old grandson for his birthday in a couple of weeks, and he will love it. Like all little people, he loves to read books with his family. This hard cover book is special as it allows you to ask them about the names of all the bright colors, and name the vehicles, what sounds they make, and where they might Go. You can discuss in little people terms…where each vehicle would be seen, and what each does. Even if it is a silly vehicle. Richard Scarry was one of my daughter’s favorite storybooks over 30 years ago, and it is so special that my 3 year old grandson will be reading these books, too. Love the quality of the book, the colors, the pictures, and the stories. Very happy with this book, and highly recommend.

Kid stuff, kids happy, mom happy. Whew... Dodged a bullet.
