My 11 yr old grandson is a good athlete. He had a difficult time using these. Quality construction. More appropriate for older kids.

Can’t even ride it. It comes with a CD video tape to teach you but come on. You have to know that no device takes CDs anymore and their online resources are bar to non I was excited for this toy but now I hate it and I hate the idea cuz it’s so hard to learn on this thing

this is not an easy thing to learn but once its learned, its awesome!i gave it 4 stars because of how much fun they are and how much they get used.definitely buy helmet, and pads for protection as they (child or you) will fall while learning to use.my son (9) received as a gift in 2019 and was determined to learn how to ride, it took him a full month + of trying them everyday - read instructions and watch any videos available as they give you ideas of how to learn it - now, to go from the office to the kitchen (maybe 30') for a snack he uses them.there was a small transition from hardwood floor (in the house) to cement (outside) - different feel so he needed to adjust his balance - but he loves them and uses at every given chance.definitely worth the money.

Excellent product, but need lots of time to practice it

First off, the 3 stars are for product construction only. The difficulty to learn and use is just a product of what the item is. So the problems you’ll encounter with learning/using are these:Balance obviously, but this isn’t all that hard to overcome. Be careful of your back foot though, if you shift your balance too far back and your back foot comes up too far, you’re a goner.Propulsion. This is the real kicker. It’s easier the faster you go, but getting going is nearly impossible. Basically, you have to twist your legs/feet to make a wave motion, and put force into the sideways motion, like a ripstik. Except the ripstik automatically aligns the wheels the proper direction for this action because of the casters. But here, that’s your job. The problem is, you have to twist your feet SUPER far to get the force required to build speed, and you have to change direction almost immediately to go the other way. So, if you do manage to get the speed you need, now your legs are incredibly exhausted from constantly moving your legs back and forth while also twisting your legs.Now, the problem I have with this product is the design. First off, I crashed fairly gently, and one of the retaining pins for the foot pad snapped off. The pad stays on perfectly, but come on guys. Metal pins.Secondly, I crashed again, and one of the rubber grommets on the top rim came off.Thirdly, the foot pads. There is the orbitwheellogo on the upper part of the main assembly, but for some reason they needed another one, so there is a huge divot in the middle of the pad. So you have maybe 50% of the surface area of grip tape that you could have, and it makes a noticeable difference.Lastly, the wheel itself. There are no bearings or anything at all. It is just the wheel running on the screw shafts that hold the housing together. So not only is there way more drag/friction than there needs to be, further hampering your propulsion efforts, but after several hours of practicing the wheels now make a REALLY loud scraping sound and the friction is EXTREMELY noticeable. Plus, the housing is just plastic held together with screws- it wobbles just a tad along the joint.Idea 10/10, if extremely difficult, but design/execution/construction 2/10. This feels like a $20-40 product, not a $100 product.

My 11 year old found these very very difficult to learn how to ride we pulled up YouTube videos we tried and tried and tried they are sitting in the living room not being used at all.

This was a gift for my grandson who loves skateboarding, snowboarding, in line skating etc. He is loving the Orbitwheels! Still in a learning curve but the no board skating is fun and challenging. Easy to carry too.

I ordered this for a Christmas gift. I didn’t open it and look at the product because it came in what looked like original packaging. When it was opened, we found out we are missing platforms for the feet. I either have to buy a whole new package or accept the robbery. So disappointed
