Wonderful LED Air Wands - Make Your Tank Sparkle!
The ViaAqua in tank led light strips are sensational. Up lighting adds an entire new dimension to aquascaping and allows you to create many stunning, creative and unique effects. In the past I tried a similar product made by Marineland - whose products I usually love. But the problem with their light strips is that they're so light - and the suction cups so little that the wands kept popping loose and floating to the surface.Or my fish could dislodge them easily with a single nudge. That's not the case here. The ViaAqua units are quite heavy - and the large, powerful suction cups are attached to moveable, braces that wrap around 3/4 of the wand. The end result is they stay put beautifully. Even my 8 inch Blue Oranda can't make them budge - and THAT'S saying something.I have two of the all blue in one 55 tank and decided to try two of the blue and white 12" wands in another. The effect is simply gorgeous.I run both wands with a Rena 400 air pump which is more than able to create a steady flow of beautiful and uniform bubbles. The pump has two outputs and each is fully adjustable so you can go from a delicate flow of bubbles to a full throttle air curtain.More than simply a visually stunning and unique addition to your tank - the aeration infuses your water with more much needed oxygen. One common annoyance with most of these double service air wands is that they clog easily - and fairly often.A quick remedy is to gently run your finger or a blunt tool (I use the edge of a flat butter knife) along the rubber hose and this clears it out immediately and the full wall of bubbles bounces right back.If you don't have an overhead LED lighting system these are a wonderful substitute - at a fraction of the cost.Even if you do use an overhead system (I have the Marineland Double bright LED system) these wands still add a very beautiful and special look to your tank.I wasn't sure if I would like the white and blue, but it's fabulous. However, if you're looking to create a Lunar mode for your tank so you can observe your fish without disturbing their sleep/rest cycle then you'll want all blue LED bulbs.ViaAqua makes these in many sizes from 4" to 24" and in array of colors - including red, multi color and units with change colors - so you're bound to find one that suits your fancy and will look marvelous in your aquarium. On precaution to take is know the size you need prior to purchasing these wands, If they sit too close to your intake, you'll end up with bubbles being sucked into the filter which creates a racket and can compromise your filters efficiency. In my experience 1-2 inches from the intake is perfect. But depending on the GPH of your filter, you may find you can put them closer or need to keep the ends of the wands a bit further away.I have 8 of these wands and use two in each tank - they work beautifully and again, the effect is smashing. The best price I've seen has been on Amazon, and the units have all arrived well packaged and delivered very quickly. The come packaged with everything you need. Including some airline tubing, instructions, the plug in power transformer, more than enough cable wire and of course the wands themselves. This is a fabulous product which I would recommend to any hobbyist - especially anyone looking to add a little pizzazz to their aquarium.

Sand substrate owners beware
The suction cups are on the bottom of this strip, so if you want to place it on the bottom of the tank (where it should be), you must have a clear area to place it. Gravel substrates would probably be easier to place this with success. I had to create a walled off area with plastic sheeting and aquarium safe silicone to keep my 3" of sand base from piling in on top of this light, and it's absolutely necessary if you don't want sand to be under it when trying to place this in your aquarium. This is an item you will want to purchase and place in your aquarium before you put your substrate in, and plan accordingly by creating a walled section to keep the substrate from affecting it.Algae also builds up on the LED's over time, diminishing the brightness. Rubbing it with my fingers, I was unable to remove most of it. It's not really that much of an issue though.

Very decent product
I recently purchased 2 of these lights for a 30 gallon tank of Glofish. Name brand Glofish products are pretty expensive and I was pleased to see this product at a much better rate. I had also read that too much blue/black light can stress fish so this product won my vote with it's mix of white and blue light. Product arrived in 2 days in perfect condition. I had to give these lights just a 4/5 because they were WAY too bright to put inside the tank so I was unable to use them as an air stone. I figured if the light hurts for me to look at outside the fish tank, it probably isn't pleasant for the fish to live right on top of. But I just popped the long fluorescent bulb out of my aquarium hood and set these in it's place upside-down so the light shines into the tank and they look wonderful.

ViaAqua 12in 2.7 watt Blue & White LED Light & Airstone
I have a 10 gallon tank and had to replace the fluorescent fixture after it "died" from old age. The cost for a replacement was as much as I paid for the entire tank and light together. In searching I came across this light. It is the perfect size for the tank. It sits at the bottom and is held in place by two suction cups that can't be seen. It is also nicely weighted to help prevent floating. The blue and white led's add a nice glow to the tank. It is not bright like a fluorescent but it does provide a unique look. It is very well made and the built in air stone provides a powerful wall of bubbles. As with any air stone you need a separate pump. There is no on/off switch but at only 2.7 watts, I leave it on all the time. The air stone will need occasional cleaning and I do this with an old toothbrush while it is still in the water. I am very pleased with this light and if you want something different, I recommend it.

Great Airstones & Good Night Lights.
These are nice units that function as advertised. I have two of them to cover the back of my 55 gallon tank. The units when combined with a good air pump produce a great bubble curtain. The lights may be too bright for your tank as night lights, for this reason I'm giving a very nice product four stars. I personally blocked some the white lights with rocks to cut down on the light in the tank if the manufacture supplied snap on white light cover(s) or a dimming method it would make these lights ideal but I do recommend buying them if you need night lights in your tank just be aware you may need to block some light in some way.

Great bubbler, bright LEDs, longevity still TBD
The bar works overall very well. The blue LEDs have stayed strong (and really what I wanted it for), along with the bubbles (which is the important part). A little simple monthly cleaning of the front (toothbrush, brushed over) keeps them bubbling well. The white LED's have taken on more of a yellow hue and when on a dimmer really suffer.Did I mention they are bright!?! Great for effect, but if you are using it for a night light, placement and a dimmer is a must. Nocturnal fish will not like these on all night at full strength.
