YAXIstPad Earpads LR (for Sony MDR7506)

The original pads on my Sony MDR-7506 started flaking like crazy and I'd have little black particles all over me whenever I used them so I had first bought some other brand aftermarket pads for them which were less expensive but those pads drastically changed the sound quality of the headphones. I read good things about these Yaxi pads and I've also previously used Yaxi pads on my Koss headphones so decided to give them a try. As far as I can tell and my memory, these Yaxi pads keep the sound just like the original sound from the original pads, which is exactly what I wanted. They are well made and appear to be ever better quality than the original Sony pads that came on my headphones. Only time will tell but they don't look like they'll start falling apart like the Sony pads did.

The pads will alter the sound, but will be so much more comfortable. The lows are increase and the highs are increased believe it or not because I have 2 pairs which I compared the Yaxi to the Original.Several headphone reviewers on youtube also recommend these.

Swapped them out with the old pads and they fit much better they added more detail to the high end.

Difficult to install but doable. Slightly more comfy than stock.

I don't know why Sony wraps their stock ear pads with micron-thick garbage bags, but Yaxi saves the day as always - they're just as thin as the stock ones, so they still fold nicely, comfort is far superior, and the red/blue rings are a nice little accent.Pricey? yes. Worth it? Also yes.

Oh my this is amazing. As a replacement earpad for my Audio Technica MSR7, I have bought the brainwavz HM5 hybrid memory foam earpad but that was too thick, firm, and changes the sound signature too much for my liking. This one however was an upgrade or just about equal (depending on your taste) to the original earpad. I wonder why it's not more popular. For context, I bought this on discount on Amazon for 35-ish dollars which is only 5 more dollar more than my brainwavz one.

Definitely an improvement on the originals. It is a bit of a struggle to get them on, though it allows for adjustments after they have been installed. I almost gave it less stars until I figured out the correct way to set them. Very well made, good materials.
