The Hanging Poultry & Gamebird Feeder is a robust, 30 lb capacity feeder made from heavy-gauge galvanized steel, designed to protect feed quality and reduce waste. Its durable construction ensures long-lasting use, while the hanging design saves space and keeps feed off the ground, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments.

So convenient
Hung it up finally. So far so good. I would recommend ordering a 9” frying pan lid for the top to cover the hole. We put duct tape over the holes at the bottom. We read some of the other reviews of chickens getting or damaging there beaks in those holes.

Very decent product. Satisfied with purchase.
Overall, I am satisfied with this Galvanized Poultry feeder from Miller Manufacturing. It's definitely much better than those plastic options. It's not had any issues with rust and I've had it over a year now. It effectively feeds my 8 chickens. Here's some Con's:It needs a lid. Without the lid I've had issues with mold and water (from sprinkler or heavy sideways rain). The chickens also tend to try and eat from the center rather than where they are supposed to.The feed ends up needing extra assistance to continue to come out. I pick it up by the handle and give it a couple spins. That usually brings it down. I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving them for an extended period of time without an alternate feeder or someone checking them. I check daily and so every day I shake more feed down. The hanging option - while I guess possible - doesn't seem that great of an option for us. My chickens were trying to jump up on it and it was spilling their crumbles everywhere. The Pro's:It's long lastingIt is galvanized. It's not cheaply or poorly made. It's smaller but still large enough to feel lots of chickens easily.Putting it together was a breeze.Clean up is easyOverall, I would purchase this item again and I would recommend it to others. In the future I would possibly spend a little extra for one with a lid but for the most part the issues haven't been overwhelming to make me regret my purchase. Thanks for making a good product.***Nothing wrong with the chicken with the naked neck. That's her breed. She's a Turken and lays beautiful large sized tan/cream colored eggs.

A little expensive but works great
I think the price is a little high for what it is, but it works great. I tried to save money and had a home made chicken feeder before, constructed out of a 5 gallon bucket and some pipes I cut into the bottom. They worked alright at first but some of my chickens started flinging feed out of them onto the ground, a lot of which got wasted when it got rained on, etc. I needed to curb the waste, it completely defeated the cost savings I had on my home made feeder in the first place.I bought the 30lb one of these feeders and it feeds 6 hens and a rooster forever. We free range them several hours a day but will probably get a least 2 weeks between fill-ups (YMMV), and the waste problem has been completely eliminated (so far).I am a satisfied customer, if they go on sale and I can snag one in the $30s I'll probably jump on another one, it would be a great but at that price.

Falls apart
The hooks don't fit. Even after bending them, the bottom fell off.

I got a lemon
Mine arrived yesterday and it was broken. There is a folded seam down the side of the pail that has separated, and both sides are so tightly crimped, I can't force the leading edges into their respective slots without running a screwdriver down each slot to open them up and then hammering the seam back together when I'm done. Not my problem: this thing is going back. The rods attaching the pail to the feeding pan were also cheaply attached. Instead of bending both sides of the rods down to fix them in place, there are some kind of square pressure fittings made out of folded metal strips with offset holes through them that slide on and grip the rods on one end. I can see these coming loose in time and the whole thing coming apart. When I got the thing apart to try and fix the seam, I noticed that the bottom edge of the pail facing the pan was dinged in three locations, as if someone had repeatedly banged it on the edge of something hard (like rapping the back of a knife on a jar lid to loosen it). It's no wonder the seam was broken.
