When you compare this photo to the one on the Diamond factory page, it does look different. Diamond does make a male SMA version.

Will it fit yaesu ft4xr

This fits the SMA connector. The antenna is a Female SMA threaded connector. It fits both my Yaesu VX-8 and FT2D without any adapter. So you should be good to go with this one.
