I love this product. I recently started using on my brown hair with highlights. It does a great job taking out the brassiness. It was so effective that I skipped a round of toner on my last salon visit.

Works great! Helps eliminate the reddish tones in my blonde hair. Recommended only to use 1-2 times a week as it will dry hair out.

I recently had my black hair highlighted to a blonde ombré. This left some of my highlights super brassy. I was using the purple version of this shampoo regularly, but noticed over time that my light blonde ombré was turning into more of dark blonde color. When I went to have my hair changed from ombré to balayage it made my roots pretty brassy again and lightened the portion of blonde that was originally part of the ombré. My stylist recommended that I use a blue shampoo this time and stop issuing the purple. I bought this shampoo and conditioner to give it a try. The color of the shampoo and the conditioner was a little bit of a shock because I expected it to be as dark as the color on the bottle. It’s actually more of an aqua color. The smell is much better than I expected it to be. I used both the shampoo and the conditioner together so I’m not sure what the results are if you use the conditioner by itself. I honestly didn’t think that there would be too much improvement in my brassy roots, but there was a lot less of a brassy tone once I dried and styled my hair. My hair was soft and manageable while I was blow drying it. My hair is pretty curly and I straighten it a lot so I’m pretty harsh on it. I expected some breakage during the blow drying because it’s already highlighted and this conditioner didn’t seem that heavy, but there wasn’t much at all. In all the conditioner when paired with the shampoo did exactly what it states it would do on the bottle. Again, I used it with the shampoo. The only real downside that I saw is that it stains your hands temporarily, and I would use it with any pretty light colored towels. A few hand washes will fix this. If you’re looking to pull some brassy tones out of your hair then this is definitely a good product. If you’re looking to buy it to eliminate all your brassy tones to a pretty platinum blonde, then you will be disappointed. The only real way to get rid of all the brassy tones is to highlight that area again until you get the shade of blonde you desire.

Its just Ok. I have a light brown ombray and wanted to get rid of ornage brassy tones, so decided to go for a blue conditioner instead of a purple one (purple cancels out yellow, but blue cancels out orange). This one is not very strong, the blue is very very pale, and I cant really tell if its doing any toning to my hair. Because its so pale blue, I just use it as a normal conditioner and use it every time I wash my hair (as opposed to say once a week with a strong toning conditioner). As a conditioner, it also is just ok. It does have some nice ingredients and peptides, and does moisturize my hair. But since my hair is bleached and dyed, I really need something that packs a punch with the moisture, and this does not. In the end, its just ok as a toning conditioner, and just ok as a regular conditioner.

It works well. Dries your hair out though

Its not blue enough to actually eliminate any brass in hair. Joico is a great hair care line so I must give it 5/5 Leaves my hair full and soft even after numerous high lifting "bleach" treatments.

Im naturally a dark brunette but bronze highlights in my hair which went a horrid ginger in d wait for hairdressers to reopen. My salon uses joico so said I'd try this! So glad I did. One wash n can already see a good difference. Can imagine d dif with just a few washes! Worth a purchase!
