SYGAV Android 13 Car Stereo for 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 Toyota Highlander Radio Carplay Android Auto HD Touch Screen GPS Navigation Head Unit with WiFi BT

I have tried several Android radios and this is the first I really really love and this is a review for the 2008-2012 since they mix all the highlander radio reviews here: FM and AM reception is top notch equal to Pioneer, Alpine, Etc. Get the Motorola 1 Male 2 female, and GM adapter to Motorola and you will not be disappointed. Volume and forward and reverse knobs not only work (very rare in android radios for Highlanders) but also mute/turn off and activate different EQ by pushing on them!!!) Supports Carplay and android auto with no additional parts: (other then your phone dummy) Sound quality sounds as good as the big names when running into an amp. I set voice level in factory settings (AKA pre-volume) on all modes to 1 as by default it was a little too loud at the lowest setting in volume. Most every app I downloaded worked like a charm, including spotify, poweramp, chrome, gmail, tune in, pandora, Hulu, Amazon Video. (Iheartradio, and netflix did not work. Hoping those vendors will sort it out.) Comes with IGO GPS, a very basic and easy to use GPS app but you I also installed and tested Google maps and Waze, you will need hotpspot on to use all features. The unit comes with Subwoofer, front, and rear outputs, and rear and front camera inputs with dedicated power line for front camera or both, as well as a way to make the front camera come on for a few moments after shifting out of reverse. (very nice for parallel parking.) Looks better then factory radio because since vents are built into it, that upper seam is no longer needed. When installing take out factory radio from brackets leave small upper screen in then place back in car. Radio uses simple clips to stay in place and it is very sturdy once popped into place. Minor gripes but not deal killers: Wish it supported XM radio via antenna, (does support app) Wish it support HD radio (future add on guys?!?) Does not support IPOD playback but does carplay as a great alternative but mine is too old for that. Ill update this if I have any future problems but so far this is miles ahead of the secaine, and phoenix car audio units. (no volume knobs, no sub output in phoenix)

Look very good in my highlander 2009. Only the two front doors speakers work. So, it is not plug and play. It seem some additional wiring is needed for all speakers to work. User manual is not very useful.

i dislike the unit, because i order 4 times and all four times come broken radio..!! i hate this...!!

It's an expensive addition that works well enough. The device itself is cluttered with useless apps and equipped with a usable UI. My main gripe is that it overheats. When it does this, a warning will pop up but that's the only warning you get. It shuts off right after the warning is issued.

Product is nice. Make sure you do your research before purchasing. Down side is there aren’t a lot of instructions. Customer service reply’s over night if you live in the US. You are able to download a car launcher if you don’t like the factory layout of the screen.
