Panasonic Portable AM/FM Radio with Best Reception, Led Tuning Indicator, Compact Size + 4 AA Batteries

I am giving this radio as a gift for someone who wants to listen to talk radio stations on the AM dial. I was worried that the AM reception might be static-y but it sounds great. I do wish the sound of people talking was crisper and sharper, but it's fine. My friend lives in the country and I live in the city . It sounds good to me but I don't know how the reception will be in the country. If it is not good quality, I'll have to return the radio. Great volume, lomg antenna, small, lightweight. Thanks Panasonic for the batteries! I have 2 radios that I have to plug in the wall. This Panasonic has the clearest reception, I think. I will be ordering one for myself.

This Panasonic radio has a better sound than larger more expensive radios. It picks up AM & FM stations well. Simple to use. I take it from room to room to listen to favorite stations. Affordable to give as a gift.Thank you Panasonic!

It is a good little radio

Omg - these are incredible - if I could keep tI’m working! I’ve purchased three - (yes, I’m crazy!) but I love them.Yes, I’m an old lady that rarely goes online to discover her Birth-Day ~ I’m so gratefulUPDATE ~ I did not want to be using batteries in these. As a last ditch effort I put the four AA batteries in, and then unplugged the radio. The batteries were the “secret sauce” and Inow have three working radios! The sound quality on such an inexpensive radio is stunning!I have a Bose unit in my bedroom, but hardly use it. I live alone (with my little dog). But aroundthe house I listen to both talk radio as well as music during the day. Now these units are my friends,Keep me company no matter which room I’m in ~ including my laundry room, pantry located in a separateroom attached to my garage. Now I have soft music when giving my dog (Millie) her bath, which I believecalms the entire operation for both of us.I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE each and every one of these! And because I now have THREE, I appreciate not needingto move these from one room to another! The sound quality on such an inexpensive little unit may not be theequivalent of my Bose, (but for over $300 less!!) nonetheless, you will love the quality of this product!

I needed a radio for my elderly mother. Her stereo stopped working, and she missed that connection to music and local broadcast news. There have been issues with satellite reception at her place, so I feared she might also have disruptions in air waves. Not with this radio! All throughout the house, Mom can put the radio on a table, desk, or nightstand and listen to her heart's content. It's lightweight and simple to use. The best feature is the sound quality! It doesn't buzz or whine when she turns it up. Having a radio again has improved Mom's overall disposition, and I would recommend this model to anyone. It's exactly what I wanted for her.

I wanted to return this product. The only reason we bought it was because we had a plug to use. Unfortunately there was no plug in the package. My husband refused to let me return it saying “I could return it 100 times before I got one with the cord in it. Otherwise it is a great radio for our plants and vegetables to listen too (of course for my husband as well)!

Very good for its intended use - casual listening

Purchased this for an elderly person needing a small, inexpensive AM/FM radio with excellent sound quality and easy controls. This one fits the bill perfectly. Don't know the quality of the battery life yet, because we've just started using it; however, this radio only needs 4 AA batteries and has an optional plug. Stations are easy to read and glow in the dark. Highly recommend this one.
