Radical Love: Learning to Accept Yourself and Others

Great book. amazon storage and delivery as per usual is garbage. the front cover came ripped. not sure how an amazon packer can see something like that and decide "yea that looks good, i'm going to pack it"

I've never been one for many books about someone's life or their reflection on mental health or the world at large, but when I heard Zachary Levi was going to release one, I was immediately interested. I will try to remain brief as I provide some necessary background for how much this book has impacted my mindset: I've been a fan of Zac since my late teens. When I first went to college, I started having my first panic attacks and bouts of depression and anxiety. I couldn't sleep; I could barely function. Details aside, I found an anchor in Zac and his work. From Chuck to Tangled to his work at Nerd HQ and for charity and everything in-between, from Remember Sunday to attending a showing of She Loves Me to Shazam, he and his characters and the stories in which he starred gave me hope and inspiration. His faith inspired me to lean harder on my own faith, which was always present for me. All of this helped me more than I can describe or even should in an Amazon review. Now turn to Radical Love: a truly inspiring book. Writing any book and putting it out there is difficult, as I know, but I cannot imagine writing one like this. Zac shows such honesty, vulnerability, and openly discusses the journey of his life so far and his experiences with his faith and mental health. I never imagined how much he was covering up. Reading this book made my heart ache unbelievably for him, especially as much as he and his work has inspired me to improve my mental health and shaped my own journey. I found so many similarities with myself and my own mindset, outlook on life, experiences, hopes and dreams, and even what drives me. This book coalesces many elements of my life, and now I have returned to Zac inspiring me and showing me the way. I think of this book often, every day, and think of Zac's experiences and outlook on life, faith, and mental health. Reading this book made me improve my own health; there is no doubt about that. God bless you for writing this and sharing it with the world, Zac. I know how silly it will sound, but even only having ever met him once in passing after a performance of She Loves Me, Zac has completely changed my life since I was in my late teens. I do believe God showed me him and his work at my lowest time to give me an anchor and a way to pull myself out of my own darkness when nothing else was working. Through his personal beliefs shared in interviews, podcasts, and especially this book, and through his extensive work in entertainment, Zac has truly touched my life, and I'll always carry that with me. Please read this book and take to heart what Zac says - whether you know you need to reflect upon your mental health or think you don't need to, this book will provide you with so much. I know I'll be reflecting on it from now on. Thank you for sharing your story and sharing your strength.

The real raw and beautiful narration of the journey of the author through his struggle with stress, mental health, relationship with parents and how he is healing still.. this book is an example of vulnerability being a superpower/strength. A must read! anyone can relate at some point.. its almost like a guide on how to save yourself if you feel depressed or overstressed..
