## Overview

Rislone 4720 Cat Complete Fuel, Exhaust & Emissions System Cleaner is a powerful, EPA-registered formula designed to clean and maintain your vehicle’s fuel, exhaust, and emissions systems. Compatible with gasoline, ethanol, and hybrid engines, it removes carbon buildup and contaminants to improve power, fuel economy, and reduce emissions. Trusted for over 75 years, it safely clears check engine light codes like P0420 without voiding warranties, helping you pass smog tests and avoid costly repairs.

## Description

Fuel, Exhaust & Emissions, Systems Cleaner: CAT COMPLETE Fuel, Exhaust & Emissions System Cleaner has high-performing detergents and heavy duty cleaning solvents that effectively scrub and remove contaminants, soot, carbon build-up, and oily residue from the fuel injectors, combustion chambers, turbo, EGR, catalytic converters, oxygen sensors and the exhaust system. These along with other active chemical agents, react with the gases created in the combustion process to remove the remaining inorganic deposits. This process restores their function and with regular use maintains efficiency. As fuel is burned contaminating byproducts are created that get circulated throughout various vehicle components. The system is designed to be able to handle this process during most normal engine operation. However, the use of poor quality fuel, short driving distance, cold weather, improper maintenance, and component failure can greatly increase the amount of contamination and deposits created inside these systems. Such factors can cause increased exhaust emissions, reduced fuel economy, lost power & performance, drivability issues, engine overheating, hard starts, check engine light illumination and premature engine wear.

Review: Follow the directions! Worked great for small car/tank - Rarely leave reviews but this stuff worked for me! Vehicle renewal coming up and CEL had kicked on, it's been weird kicking on and off for a bit but always reading the same code and having no changes in performance/mileage but this time it had been on for a bit. Was getting worried with the renewal coming up so soon and tried this on a hail mary and it worked. I have a small tank (9.2 gal) so I'm wondering if the higher concentration helped in my case. I followed the directions to a T, added stuff to a half tank, did some good speed highway driving and then some in city start/stop for the 20-30 miles they recommend. I felt like going 30 is better because the concentration of cleaner/gas is higher at this stage so you're using that treated fuel. Then I filled the tank and drove roughly 30 more miles of mixed driving, got home light still on. Later went to grab some takeout, started car and light turned off! I turned car off, took wifes car to get the food and first thing this morning drove to the inspection place and passed I'd say follow the directions to a T but also lean towards whatever leaves a higher concentration of the cleaner. I also used Premium the entire time for everything. I had even filled a tank of premium before all this hoping it might clear. The car also seems to be running a little more quiet and smooth right now
Review: P0420 CEL Clear - Kept resetting P0420 CEL on my 2007 Toyota Corolla, hoping I could quickly go through drive cycle and pass my smog check before it came back on. Same code kept coming back on within 2-3 miles of a reset so using Rislone was my last hope before I tried the non fouler trick. Below is exactly what I did, hope it helps someone! 1) Filled my gas tank with premium gas, drove it down to half tank over a few days of driving before I inserted Rislone. 2) Drove ~30 miles and then refueled to full tank with premium gas again(Half highway/half city as instructions state) 3) Instructions say after completing step 2, drive the car to 1/4 gas tank at which point CEL should clear. For me, I drove ~25-30 miles over 3 days, clearing the CEL each time it came back on. During the 3rd day (~60 miles since using Rislone), the CEL didn’t come back on and all monitors reset! Immediately went to smog station and passed. CEL is still off, not sure it will last but who cares! Car is running fine and I don’t need to pay for a new converter just to pass a smog test! Tips: 1) Not sure if premium gas made a difference but I read several people say they used non ethanol/premium gas which cleared P0420 so figured it couldn’t hurt. 2) I bought a cheap OB2 monitor which I kept on when driving so I could see exactly when CEL was coming back on and when monitors are smog ready. If you’re lucky, resetting CEL and going thru drive cycle may be enough to get past smog without using Rislone. In my case, the P0420 CEL would come on within 2-3 miles each time I reset the CEL so using Rislone was a must. 3) Each car is different but generally speaking, once you reset CEL the drive cycle consists of warming up the car for a few minutes and driving 50-60 mph a few times, ideally letting the car come to a stop with no or minimal use of the brake. Make sure A/C is off. Using the OB2 monitor while driving the car will help you get a feel for your cars drive cycle. 4) If a CEL code is pending, the relative monitor to your code will not clear! In California, all monitors except EVAP have to be ready to pass smog, your state may be different.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: whats the deal with people saying it worked and then the engine light came back on?**
A: We have not heard of this being a common thing with using our Cat Complete product. From our experience the light stays off for a very long period of time, especially if you use one every 5,000 miles to keep the system clean. If 6 months or longer have gone by and the light comes back on it may be the same issue reoccurring.

If we can provide any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to email or contact us at 800-345-6572. We can be reached M-F, from 8 am to 5 pm Eastern time.

**Q: Will it clear a P0411 code?**
A: With the proper use of this product the vehicle CEL light will turn off if the vehicle has a code listed below, and/or that it will pass that state emissions test and has no other mechanical issue that is triggering the light:

* OBD-II PID CODES P0138 P0139 P0143 P0144 P0145 P0146 P0151 P0152 P0153 P0154 P0157 P0158 P0159 P0160 P0163 P0164 P0165 P0166 P0171 P0173 P0174 P0175 P0420 P0421 P0430 P0431

**Q: After using it, do I hve to turn off the light myself? I have a toyota camry 2006**
A: When the check engine light (CEL) or malfunction indicator light (MIL) illuminates, it has detected an engine system malfunction. Many auto parts stores offer free on board diagnostic (OBD) code checks, and inexpensive readers are available to purchase for do it yourself (DIY) checks. One of the most common codes is P0420 (along with related codes) for the emissions system that usually traces back to catalytic converter efficiency. If the converter is dirty or bad, likely something else caused this.

CAT COMPLETE Fuel, Exhaust & Emissions System Cleaner not only helps with what may be causing the light to come on, but also the system that initiated the problem. Driving with CEL on can cause increased vehicle emissions, poor fuel mileage, reduced power, further engine damage beyond what the original problem is, and could eventually lead to vehicle breakdown. Sometimes the damage is so severe that cleaning will not help. For example, a converter that has operated with temperatures over 1300°F will start to melt inside and become permanently damaged. Or an oxygen sensor that is not dirty, but internally damaged. Your best chance of cleaning one of these systems is within the first few months of when the light comes on. However this formula can also work on a vehicle that has had the light on for years.

Once the issue has been resolved, the light may continue to be on for a period of time. For some vehicles, it takes a few start/stop cycles for it to clear, others you may need to disconnect the battery for 15 minutes and leave the door open, then reconnect. See vehicle owners manual for resetting the CEL if applicable.

If you have any other technical questions, feel free to contact our Technical Service Professionals at 800-345-6572 or if you would prefer you can use the contact us page on our website.

**Q: Can I use this twice in a row, like to tanks of gas back to back, or is it bad?**
A: Yes you can. It is usually suggested you do so if your check engine light regarding your emission system remains on. Using this product twice in a row will not damage anything in your engine or emission system. If your emission system is clean & no check engine light is on, it is recommended that you use this product once every 5,000 miles to maintain a clean system.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot believe it…IT WORKED!!!
*by M***S on July 8, 2026*

I was looking at close to 600 in repair costs for a new catalytic converter and install. After doing some research, I found that this is the best product IF you use it soon after the check engine light comes on. I used it as instructed and about half way through the filled tank the light went off and I passed inspection. Couldn’t be happier. Definitely recommend. Make sure to not let too much time go by. Use this asap and make sure you drive like you stole something when you first empty the container in your tanks for at least 30-40 miles before filling up. Follow those instructions!! Best of luck.
