Follow the directions! Worked great for small car/tank
Rarely leave reviews but this stuff worked for me! Vehicle renewal coming up and CEL had kicked on, it's been weird kicking on and off for a bit but always reading the same code and having no changes in performance/mileage but this time it had been on for a bit. Was getting worried with the renewal coming up so soon and tried this on a hail mary and it worked. I have a small tank (9.2 gal) so I'm wondering if the higher concentration helped in my case. I followed the directions to a T, added stuff to a half tank, did some good speed highway driving and then some in city start/stop for the 20-30 miles they recommend. I felt like going 30 is better because the concentration of cleaner/gas is higher at this stage so you're using that treated fuel. Then I filled the tank and drove roughly 30 more miles of mixed driving, got home light still on. Later went to grab some takeout, started car and light turned off! I turned car off, took wifes car to get the food and first thing this morning drove to the inspection place and passed I'd say follow the directions to a T but also lean towards whatever leaves a higher concentration of the cleaner. I also used Premium the entire time for everything. I had even filled a tank of premium before all this hoping it might clear. The car also seems to be running a little more quiet and smooth right now

P0420 CEL Clear
Kept resetting P0420 CEL on my 2007 Toyota Corolla, hoping I could quickly go through drive cycle and pass my smog check before it came back on. Same code kept coming back on within 2-3 miles of a reset so using Rislone was my last hope before I tried the non fouler trick. Below is exactly what I did, hope it helps someone! 1) Filled my gas tank with premium gas, drove it down to half tank over a few days of driving before I inserted Rislone. 2) Drove ~30 miles and then refueled to full tank with premium gas again(Half highway/half city as instructions state) 3) Instructions say after completing step 2, drive the car to 1/4 gas tank at which point CEL should clear. For me, I drove ~25-30 miles over 3 days, clearing the CEL each time it came back on. During the 3rd day (~60 miles since using Rislone), the CEL didnโt come back on and all monitors reset! Immediately went to smog station and passed. CEL is still off, not sure it will last but who cares! Car is running fine and I donโt need to pay for a new converter just to pass a smog test! Tips: 1) Not sure if premium gas made a difference but I read several people say they used non ethanol/premium gas which cleared P0420 so figured it couldnโt hurt. 2) I bought a cheap OB2 monitor which I kept on when driving so I could see exactly when CEL was coming back on and when monitors are smog ready. If youโre lucky, resetting CEL and going thru drive cycle may be enough to get past smog without using Rislone. In my case, the P0420 CEL would come on within 2-3 miles each time I reset the CEL so using Rislone was a must. 3) Each car is different but generally speaking, once you reset CEL the drive cycle consists of warming up the car for a few minutes and driving 50-60 mph a few times, ideally letting the car come to a stop with no or minimal use of the brake. Make sure A/C is off. Using the OB2 monitor while driving the car will help you get a feel for your cars drive cycle. 4) If a CEL code is pending, the relative monitor to your code will not clear! In California, all monitors except EVAP have to be ready to pass smog, your state may be different.

I cannot believe itโฆIT WORKED!!!
I was looking at close to 600 in repair costs for a new catalytic converter and install. After doing some research, I found that this is the best product IF you use it soon after the check engine light comes on. I used it as instructed and about half way through the filled tank the light went off and I passed inspection. Couldnโt be happier. Definitely recommend. Make sure to not let too much time go by. Use this asap and make sure you drive like you stole something when you first empty the container in your tanks for at least 30-40 miles before filling up. Follow those instructions!! Best of luck.

It works as intended
It works. I might need to run a second one having dual Cal converters and splitting it up between both on severely dirty cats I kind of expected that after I run another full tank of fuel I will see if that is good enough until my next oil change to do it again. I have a 57 L hemi Wagoneer that was a fleet luxury rental. When I picked it up I had no light, but you could smell the eggs so you know the maintenance was by the book which is pathetic so I rescued it and Iโve completely turned it around but does not smell like a hairdryer yet I am that guy that goes to a used car lot and smells the exhaust and rubs my finger inside a check for carbon this particular vehicle had low carbon inside the exhaust and had a slight smell so I knew it had potential, and I was still getting a moisture drip from the resonator, which means that the specialty metals are doing their job if I do not need another bottle after running a tank and finishing the actual concentrated amount that I have left I ran one bottle in 10 gallons and did 2 30 miles highway runs daughter had a dentist appointment took advantage of it

Don't expect much from this company or product.
Doesn't work and manufacture makes it very hard to use their so called money back garantee. They want everything but your first born child. I sent them all the info they required. So far I haven't heard anything. They wanted 30 days to consider a refund by Po Box Only, no phone number, no customer service line, zilch! Now it's a waiting game to see if they'll do the right thing and stand by their garantee. As a retired mechanic with over fourty years of experience in the truck & auomotive field I can truely say I've never been more disappointed in a product or company then this one. I'll come back later and update if they refund. Until then I stand by what I've said here.

IT WORKED!
Worked for me! Believe me my tags renewal was approaching and I was stressing. Simply follow the directions. After the initial drive on a 1/4 tank of gas I filled up and drove about 15 miles a day until below 1/4 tank. My engine light didn't go off, but after filling up again and driving another 15 miles it still didn't go off. The second day I went to burn another 15 miles the light was off! Went immediately down to the emissions station, I was nervous but SHE PASSED! I been walking around with a smile all day.

It may help
Used it per directions. Light went off for a tank or 2 and then came back on. Easier to pour in the tank than to try and replace cats. It may work in some situations but in mine it was short lived.

Pleased with product
I am a 69 year old that drives a 2007 honda fit. 8 days ago my check engine light came on. I took my car to auto zone where my car was diagnosed with code P0420. My car has 136,000 miles I did not want to invest thousands on a fix. I have used Rislone products before and trusted the brand. I had just filled my tank so i had to wait to use the product. 2 days ago I used this item as directed. The check engine went off, before I even got home and has stayed off. I am very pleased and will update after a month or if the status changes. I recommend trying this first before replacing other costly parts. I am at 1/4 tank of gas and have just over 280 miles driven on this tank of gas.

Cleared engine light! Definitely recommend
I had an engine light come on in my 3010 Honda Accord. OBD2 scanner said it was a catalytic converter issue. I put this into my gas tank when it was about half full. After a few days of driving, it fixed it and the light is off. I've done this once a year for 2 years and it keeps working. Love it as a cheap way to prolong the life of your old car!

It does work
I said I would write a follow up. Put in around Christmas see review. Have now put about three tanks of gas through pickup truck. No codes have come up since. So would say it well worth buying. I had all sorts sorts of codes showing up turning on eng light had to clear every 1/2 tank.
