Pricey but convenient and effective.
I did not plant a sapling in my yard in order to feed the local deer population. As soon as I put these on, the little tree was safe. The modular design is super convenient but you will absolutely want to use small zip ties to keep the pieces together. Add more pieces as your tree grows. These really work well.

They don't stack vertically as you're led to believe
Snapping together is fine, and you can make whatever diameter you want. I used these to try to keep rabbits from killing small trees. The blurb on the product leads you to believe that they can snap together vertically but I did not find a way to do this. I wanted the extra height because I put they fairly deep in the ground to keep the rabbits from digging under. It was then that I discovered that they don't snap together vertically. Seems to me this would have been an easy feature to build in. There are some slots and tabs that look like they should go together to vertically assemble but they don't snap in, they just align. Someone else commented that they used zip ties to get them to vertically go together. A good idea I think but this should have been built into the product. We'll see if the rabbits find a way to defeat the product and eat my small trees.

They work
We needed these to keep the deer off our new trees. Without them, the deer ate every single leaf. They are sturdy and easy to use. I have purchased two sets.

Adjustable in size
Needed a narrow protective shield from squirrels and this was the only one and tall as well to allow growth.

These are EXTREMELY overpriced.
However, I bought them and I won't be returning because I care more about my tree than overpaying for a way to save it.Deer rutting (scraping of the bark in late October through late winter) is a very real thing. My two year old silver maple may have suffered fatal wounds this week from a teenaged male scraping the velvet off of his antlers on the bark of my beautiful little tree . These little plastic covers will probably do the job but they are very cheap quality, there are no instructions, and the snap-to technology is badly flawed to the point that it is non-functional. I used coated wire to connect the sectionsi together but zip ties would have also worked.Gave it a 3-star because I do think it works, but there are many problems.

Snap what?
This says you can snap to make them taller but there are 0 snaps on the top or bottom of these panels. There is a tiny nub where something was supposed to be but it does not have any length to snap into any hole. Let’s talk about the sides where the snaps actually do exist. These flimsy things slide in and then back out with any tug. These do not snap and hold. I normally don’t like to review when I am frustrated but I just spent 20 minutes trying to assemble this and it just fell apart in my hands twice. The only zip ties I have are wide so now I have to go out and buy slim zip ties to hold this thing together. They should have included zip ties with this. These little flimsy panels of plastic won’t hold up to even a bunny rabbit without reinforcing. I will also have to supply my own stakes as this has no way of actually staying on the ground. I am trying to protect a magnolia shrub that a buck destroyed.

Great for seedling trees
These are great for seedling trees. Only thing I'd change is to add 2 small loops that you could use a tent stack to hold them down in the wind and rain. I'm chasing them all over our yard.

Not suitable for cold weather
I used this product to protect my tree from deer rubbing their antlers on it, but it was very easily damaged and broke apart in cold weather. This may be suitable for warmer climes but don't expect it to hold up in sub-zero temperatures.

Cheap plastic.
Super cheaply made. I was disappointed with these for sure. No way they are keeping animals out or away. Looks like something you get from dollar store. I don’t buy them again.
