NANYI Violin Shoulder Rest 1/2 Collapsible Adjustable Faux Wood grain

I’m very satisfied with this viola shoulder rest. The build quality is excellent, and it feels sturdy and secure during practice and performances. It fits the instrument well and stays in place without slipping. The design is elegant and looks much more premium than expected. It also provides great comfort and support, reducing shoulder strain during long playing sessions. Installation was quick and easy. About a week after getting the violin, she broke the shoulder rest. I don't know how. They weren't even playing the violin yet. They were still learning to read music. I ordered this replacement and it was nicer than the original one I bought with the violin.

I'm really please with this choice. It works for me a 6' 190lb begin violin player. very comfortable.

The weight and adjustability are perfect, you just need to twist the feet to adjust the height. It's thinner in width than my old shoulder rest (which was, to my recollection, about $8 more expensive when I purchased it 5ish years ago). It fits well to my violin, takes a little adjustment and extra prep time simply because I think my violin is a bit smaller than the average 4/4 but I can remede that easily by changing how far apart the feet are. There is one foot that tends to pop out if I bend it too far, but it goes back in quickly

Must have missed "Imitation wood grain" when I read. Although I see WOOD is offered in another listing for just $4 more. I thought that's what I was buying. This is a standard quality (student) shoulder rest. Fits all of my full size electric and acoustic violins. Still concern for the classic, problematic stripped screws on the height adjustment. This seems as though it will have the same issue in time. (Height adjusting screws usually strip out, at which point the height remains at lowest level.) Hopefully it won't so that for a long time, but that is usually the case with lower quality rests such as this one. I will buy the real wood one for my acoustic, and the "carbon fiber" looking one for my black electric violin. Price is great at least, so I can keep one in each case! :)

Broke already. Cheap plastic

Not bad, I just needed it out of emergency and wasn’t too upset! It looks real great. There definitely is less of a curve than my older one, but this is personal preference. I’d say know what kind of curve fits you best before buying it. As a fiddler who plays across the chest, it actually kind of helped. The feet height is adjustable, but the rest itself doesn’t lean back and forth like my old one. I have a cheap fiddle, so I’m happy with this rest. If you own an expensive instrument, perhaps it’s more wise to invest in a better one. But anyway, it gets the job done.

This is a great shoulder rest however the reason I gave this three stars because the shoulder rest keeps falling off and the "hook" of the shoulder rest keeps getting detached from the body if I were to place more pressure. Trust me, I spent more time on stage trying to attach my shoulder rest than actually playing. It's a beautiful shoulder rest and comfortable however, its not that durable.
