Q: Can I use these panels as a shelf instead? Is it rigid? Or is it a film?

Not sure if I personally would use this as a shelf. It is rigid. It is glass not a film (therefore can crack/break) The edges are sharp (not beveled) I guess it depends on what type of shelf like what you plan on putting on it. You might also need to put something protective around the edges. Hope that helps you
