Great sketchbook. Good value, looks great, and the size is true to advertising. The binding can get a little messed up and it’s tedious to deal with but it’s not the end of the world. The solid covers make it super functional since it allows you to draw on more surfaces. I’d say there is some bleed through? Not onto the next paper type, but definitely through paper. This is not really multimedia. I’d stick to pencil, charcoal, pens. Things like sharpies bleed.

Absolutely incredible! I’ve tried four different art pads for my Posca markers and this one knocked it out of the park! No bleeding. After multiple layers of paint, no pilling and zero shredding of the paper. It’s so thick and sturdy! The colors don’t bleed at all and there is zero leaking thru the page. I’m VERY impressed!!! There’s even an easy tear perforation at the top of the page. Highly recommend for paint, markers. charcoal, alcohol based inks, etc.

Got this for my son. He recently got a set of Posco acrylic markers, and they don't work great on regular, low-quality paper (ie Dollar Tree coloring books). The paper in this sketchbook is THICK, almost like an index card. Not only does it stand up to acrylics, but it does so well enough that you can draw on both sides of the paper. This paper holds up well enough to frame, and I have done so with several of my son's drawings. We have also made some paper dolls of his favorite Roblox characters.

I purchased this FUXI product and a competitors (US ART) product so I could do a side by side comparison. The specifications advertised would suggest both products are the same. They are not! What is the same is that the Us Art product is made in (PRC) China, the Fuxi is noted as being Made in China. The Us Art advertised dimensions include the holes that the spiral binder occupies, so the usable size is less than stated. The Fuxi sheets longer to account for the spiral binder and are perforated to give a true to advertised dimensions. Only one side of The US Art has a cold press texture, and the paper tends to curl even before applying paint. Both sides of the Fuxi have a cold press texture, and the sheets tend to start flat, and return to flat once the paint dries. The US Art paper was less expensive, but also a lower quality than the FUXI. For my money the FUXI although more expensive is a better value, and a premium product.

Our 9-year-old grandson was extremely pleased with all three art supplies that we gifted him: Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils, Faber-Castell Drawing Kit, and a top-spiral Sketch Book. I only buy Prismacolor Colored Pencils, due to their quality, and my grandson knows this and knows how to care for them. The Faber-Castell Drawing Kit includes drawing pencils and charcoal pencils and a booklet. Good quality. And I was thrilled to find a TOP-spiraled Sketch Book, as he is a LEFT-hander like I am! Most sketch books have spirals on the left side of the pad, which interferes with left-handers ability to write or draw. He started drawing and coloring minutes after opening these gifts.

Very nice binder and cover is excellent. My only concern is the texture of the paper. I would probably describe it as medium texture rather than fine. I included a few test sketches so judge for yourself regarding texture level.
