Economical Joy
I wanted to pick up a cheap laptop to replace my 9 year old macbook air as the battery on the air was only lasting a mere 2 hours these days. I didn't want to spend a pretty penny on something that will mainly be used for surfing the web. I began doing a good amount of research into chromebooks, as expected they range in price from soup to nuts. I settled on this HP as it checked all the boxes for my needs. I've owned the device a mere two weeks at the time I am writing this review but so far the battery life is excellent and the chromebook is snappy and responsive. I would recommend this device as I believe it'll meet the majority of folks needs.

The tablet itself is cool.
I like the notebook a lot. Apparently it's a tablet with a keyboard, not a "real" laptop, the accessories provided that doubled the cost of the tablet by itself aren't worth the extra money. You're better off buying the tablet as a stand-alone without the extra accessories.

Better speakers and faster than my Samsung Chromebook
My space bar broke on my Samsung Chromebook. Right away I noticed that the speakers on this HP are louder and it loads pages faster. Very happy!

HP Chromebook
So far these laptops have worked great for my kids to use for school. They are easy to navigate even for my 7 year old. It helps that they are lightweight and not heavy or bulky.

Can't do much with it.
Honestly I expected more out of this. Other than school stuff it is basically a paperweight. If you are going to pay this kind of money, you should just get a real laptop. I needed to connect to VPN for work from home, and of course, after spending 200+ $ on this, I absolutely could not. I consider it an expensive lesson.

Not great
Screen was very dark, kept throwing my son out of his Google class, not so easy to set up. My son had to keep his finger pressed down on the On button for (i kid you not) at least 3-5 mins in order to turn ON...I ended up returning it asap! I then ordered the 2021 touchscreen Lenovo Chromebook and my son loves it!!! plus It's compatible with Google classroom perfectly!!

Great for distance learning.
Great little laptop for distance learning. My Kindergartner does well with it and she thinks she’s a big deal now that she has her own laptop.
