San Francisco Bay Coffee DECAF Gourmet Blend Whole Bean Coffee, 2 lb bag

I’ve been using this blend in my new espresso maker daily to make iced coffee, cappuccino’s, lattes, etc. Sometimes I mix it with a little caffeinated if I need a little blend. The medium dark roast is perfect, the beans are well roasted, great quality, fresh, smell wonderful and taste delicious. The water process decaf is what I prefer, and I am thrilled with the quality of beans from this producer. Will definitely be relying on repeat and highly recommend if you’re looking for a high-quality, affordable decaf.

I’ve been drinking San Francisco Bay Coffee - Decaf Medium-Dark for years, and it’s consistently excellent. The flavor is rich and smooth, with that satisfying medium-dark roast taste, but without the caffeine kick. It’s perfect for evenings or anytime I want a cozy cup without staying up all night. The coffee brews well in both drip and pour-over methods, and it smells amazing when fresh. I also appreciate that it doesn’t taste bitter or flat like some decafs do. Overall, it’s a dependable, flavorful decaf that I keep coming back to. Pros: • Rich, smooth flavor • True medium-dark roast taste • Works well with different brewing methods • Consistently good over time • No bitter aftertaste Cons: • Not as strong as regular coffee (but that’s expected for decaf) • Some might prefer a slightly bolder roast Overall, this is my go-to decaf. Reliable, flavorful, and satisfying cup after cup. I’ve been loyal to it for years, and I plan to keep drinking it.

This is pretty good coffee, and the price is reasonable. Coffee prices are high, however, and it isn't inexpensive (thus the 4 stars). The flavor is good, and it is fresh.

The best water method decaf on the market, it has body and taste like caffeinated. If it goes up again in price I will tap out though. That is the most I will pay for coffee.

Tasty water process decaf. It doesn't have the off taste of standard decaf. Beans aren't too oily so it worked fine in my super automatic. Definitely good value.

I tried several bags and I found it ok, but too oily and a little too bitter for my liking.

I like to drink espresso, but need to limit caffeine after noon. These beans taste great and allow me to have an afternoon coffee without it affecting my sleep. They are very dark and not too oily. They produce a rich cup of espresso that is as good as (maybe better than) coffee from Lavazza and other big name espresso roasters. The only issue I have had is that the beans are pretty tough in my grinder. I have a Breville espresso maker with the integrated grinder. When I mix these beans 50/50 with traditional Lavazza beans, it causes my grinder’s clutch to skip. Increasing the grind size did not solve it. I have a separate bur grinder that I now use to grind these beans. This solution works well for me and I will continue to buy these beans (because they make such a great cup of coffee). But I thought other Breville owners might want to know about this in case it is an issue for them. FWIW, my machine is over 12 years old with 1-2 grind cycles per day (~6,000-7,000 shots). So this may not be an issue for a younger machine.

We were looking for a reasonably priced, tasty decaf coffee. I decided to look on Amazon because I could read reviews from verified purchasers and set up a regular delivery. I found this supplier by chance and ordered a bag of beans. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the coffee considering the beans were cheaper than more well known brands. The resulting cup is strong, and full of flavour. There is no chemical taste and friends who don't drink decaf, haven't ever realised that they're drinking a decaf coffee. We use the beans in a bean to cup machine and never have any issues with the brewing unit cloggin because the beans are too oily. I would recommend these beans for a decent cup of decaf coffee, that doesn't taste like decaf!

Didn't much care for taste. Possibly stale beans? The grind was a difficult one to get right.

Tried drip for a few times. Good aroma, good taste. good value

When we got the new coffee machine we bought two bags of coffee, this being one of them, and a more expensive bag being the second. This is the better of the two. A full rich flavour that seems to be missing in so many decafs. I'll definitely be buying this again and, at the price, definitely worth it.
