DB Electrical SAB5310 New 8 Tooth Drive Gear/Bendix for OMC Mercury Marine Outboard
The starter Drive Gear/Bendix on my 1983 Mariner 150 hp stripped out and would no longer engage the flywheel. Easy fix, just removed the start and replaced the Bendix. As describe, arrived on time.

It works. A lot cheaper than a new starter
Fit my 2001 Mercury 125 elpto. It isn’t cad plated like the original but I don’t often operate in saltwater so shouldn’t be a problem.

Was hoping for something closer to OEM quality
This is actually a J&N part made in Taiwan, not to say they are all bad but ....With 50 years of experience as a mechanic this part simply doesn't pass the eye & feel test for me to install onto my personal boat in with just handling it. The true color of the part I received is a silvery/tin color & not the gold anodized look as the pictures shows.It is the 8 tooth gear that fits my 2000 model 115 Mercury ELPTO starter but in my opinion isn't worth taking a chance on maybe getting stuck out on the water.
