Talk about angst
If anyone can write about it Maya Hughes has writing about teenage angst down pat in addition to a wealth of other issues. Very imaginative. Kept my attention and the heart and chemistry between characters was great.

Amazing Story, and I Need More!
Let's start right off with the fine print and get that out of the way. Somehow I missed that this trilogy is three interdependent books about the same couple, so yeah, there be cliffies. That said, oh my heart, I love Bay and Dare so, so much! Hųghes has found the perfect balance between angsty heartache and hopeful forevers.Dare may be the bıg man on campus, star football player and part of the “in" crowd, but he has his share of baggage and strųggles. In three years he's not ever noticed his neighbor, The New Girl, until he hears her singing one day in her backyard. And from that moment on, she's all he can see. You'd think that after three years, Bay would no longer be The New Girl, but that's life in a small town. She's a little geeky and participates in theater and music, so she has no idea what to do when Mr. Popular starts giving her attention. She'd rather he just run along to the football field and let the sports groupıes fawn over him. This gifted storyteller has an amazing talent for penning new and young adult romance. These characters may be high school age but there's none of the manufactured drama and gross immaturity I’ve seen in so many others. Instead, these characters are complex and authentic, easily drawing the reader into their story. This first part of the trilogy takes us through Dare and Bay's relationship during their senior year of high school, and it took nothing at all for them to win me over. I can’t wait to see what happens next, because these two have taken up permanent residence my heart. Wait until you can read their story straight through, or jump in now and wait with eager anticipation along with the rest of us, but this is road to forever is one you won’t want to miss!

<3 Bay & Dare
The way Maya wrote this book was GENIUS! We all love second chances but wonder what happened that caused them to break up well, in this lovely piece of work we are give the back story and what a story it is!This story grabbed me right away, A chance encounter and you could hear the heartbreak in just the way they said each others names to know they had some crazy past and then BOOM we are getting it. Maya takes us back four years and gives us the story of how Dare and Bay met, ultimately fell in love and everything that happened between that and them ending things. And what a story it was, I didn't want to put it down.I have been a fan of Maya Hughes' for a couple of years now and this is why. You have to read this book if you are a fan of New Adult Romances, Girl Next Door Romances, or even First Love Romances, and if you read the FULTON U Series you will want to read this I promise you will not be sorry you did.I cannot wait to get my hand on their next book in the trilogy, I have to know what happens next for Dare and Bay.Happy Reading!!!

Disappointed
1st person dual POVThe popular, secretly broken football player notices the invisible girl who's hiding talent behind her fears. It's so slow..and not in a slow burn gets good kind of way. Just slow and drawn out and knowing that it ends in a cliffhanger and theres 2 more books just makes it worse.I dont normaly read books with high school students but I really liked the f.u. books and I knew this ends with them being older so I hoped it would be ok but its not... but I guess if your into childish wish washy then it is. That's always what I don't like abiut characters this age: the I'm an adult(foot stomp) but your to inexperienced and scared of life for most things.SpoilersBay is who brings the youngness to the book. She play teenage hiding from him, then when he gives up shes like no u will not and confronts him all whining you'll have to physically move me. Then when he hops back on board she doesnt want anyone to know so she wont be seen at school with him or outside of school. Poor guy has to skrimp to keep the lights on and feed himself, but he worked extra to take her out on a nice date(for her 1st ever date) and she slouched down in the car so no one would see her and refused to go inside. When she goes to see him she even lies to her mom. BUT then is annoyed because she claims shes been dropping hints about him asking her out but all she ever does is bring things up in a round about way but says they don't need titles or for things to he more, how is that hinting for him to be your bf? When he says they are together she gets a panicked look. Then when he tries to be a gentleman because shes a V, she tries to push for more and if he gives an inch she again gets panicked but then complains shes throwing signs and he puts her off every time. But wow how it ends is some good drama. It does show her immaturity that she doesnt see what her song did to him. She laid all his scars and wounds out for everyone with no thought about every possibly figuring it out. She didnt want everyone knowing her business but she had no problem putting his out into the world. And his anger got the beat of him and he destroyed the most important thing to her. And that was horrible of him but for her to think he would get physical with her was wrong, he'd never shown that off the field and she dug even deeper with what she said to him at graduation. Hes been emotionally and physically abused all his life and she threw words at him that were part of one of his biggest fears.
