Really nice
I am not a flashlight expert and I haven't used this product for long, but from what I can tell it is great. It is very small but not too small to hold properly if you have medium sized hands with long fingers like I do. It is also a good weight, light but not so light you can't feel it's there. The light is very bright and I shone it in my eyes to test the blindness factor, so I think it would be good for self-defense. The setting has a memory mode so it can be ready on whatever brightness level you want right away. The pocket clip is also very strong. I bought this flashlight along with the Streamlight Protac 1L. They are both fantastic and similar in quality, but I decided to go with the Olight because it was a little bit bigger, a tiny bit heavier, and somewhat brighter. The only other difference I think worth mentioning is that the Streamlight does not have a memory mode, but it always starts on full brightness so it's ready for self-defense. See the photos for comparison. In the side-by-side brightness photos, the Streamlight is on the left and the Olight on the right.

Good Tac Light: Brittle clip which broke in 30 seconds
Within 30 seconds of owning the light I broke the clip. I wanted to switch the light to button up carry because its a more natural way to take a light out of your pocket and it is advertised as a two position carry clip. So I pulled the clip off, no issue, then while snapping it back on to the light in the reversed direction (at the same place between the hexagonal portion and knurled grip area it snapped right where one of the fingers which holds the light meets the flat u shaped portion which clips to your pants. I'm very disappointed and don't recommend this for carry seeing as it would appear the clip material can't take any abuse. the flashlight itself is 4-5 stars losing points only to its bulkiness and the fact that the cheaper Olight S10 is brighter and smaller (albeit designed for a different purpose). On a different note my light appears to be an older? newer version? than the one pictured on the amazon page. The phosphorescent ring which is pictured as red online is blue on mine and the model number on the barrel is stylized different, maybe I received old stock which had this issue. Hopefully I can get a new clip and reevaluate based on that.

Context: I've had 3 of these. Bought one ...
Context: I've had 3 of these. Bought one in 2013 and recently in November 2015 and December 2015Pros:-very bright-compact-easily fits in my pant front pocketCons:-not durable-first one the white button rubber cap fell off after a few months. It all together stopped functioning about a year later.-the second one I ordered didn't work in arrival. I returned it.-3rd one I ordered in Decmber 2015. 2 days shoot stopped functioning. I'm not rough with the light. I'm a civilian and do white collar work at a hospital. This will be my last one to buy. 3 times I've bought the product and 3 times it feel apart or just quit working. Reliability is a major issue.

Nice Light but dishonest advertising really only 250 lumens
This is a great flashlight. I love the compact size and light weight. I use it for an every day carry light. I love how bright it is. I like the controls. There are three brightness settings and one strobe setting. It seems to be high quality construction despite being made in China. The box says there is a 5 year warrenty. I love how the button on the side and a little ring on the inside near the bulb glows in the dark after it is turned off. I am happy with my purchase. However; The 350 lumen rating is why I purchased this but it is really a 250 lumen flashlight. This looses one star for not quite honest advertising. This is based off the small instruction manual included with the light. The little instruction sheet has a graph of output in lumens vs. time. The output starts out at about 350 lumens with a brand new battery but it will only be that bright for the first 5 minutes of use--based on the graph they show in their own instruction manual. After 5 minutes it has already dropped to 300 lumens; after 10 minutes of use it has dropped all the way to 250 lumens. The light does stay at about 250 lumens for 1 hour and 20 minutes. So at least it is still a very nice and bright light for that long when on high. If on medium power only it runs at 100 lumens for about 7 hours. The low setting says it is only 5 lumens and will run for 108 hours.Pros: Very light weight and small, nice high quality design and construction, nice and bright even at only 250 lumens. Nice distance throw and even light beam quality. Nice light color--not blue or yellow just seems to be pure white light. I like that it runs off of CR123 batteries because you cannot get a compact flashlight to be this bright with standard AA or AAA batteries.Cons: Dishonest--only stays at 350 lumens for 5 minutes with fresh battery. Cannot focus the beam. Was still fairly expensive at $50 but not as expensive as some. This is my first high quality compact tactical light so I don't have anything to compare it to.Having said all that I am going to keep the light and I like it. Just keep in mind that you are buying a 250 lumen light for all practical purposes. Still bright enough for a tactical light in my opinion and one I will be carrying around daily because it is so small!

Suspect Packaging
The light works well, but the packaging it came in was suspect. There were a bunch of what looked like mailing label stickers all over the box. I couldn't see the writing on the manufacturers packaging at all. This weird packaging is happening a lot lately. I'm convinced now that a lot of the stuff you get from Amazon isn't "new". It must be customer returns or something.
