Hi, looking for a friction tape to use on tool grips.Does this product Appropriate for the job. Thanks.

I use it for stronger electric wire isolation , strong sticking, but I don’t really know about the fibers and outer coat resistances to hand friction and sweat . Short use maybe good but not really adapted For this long lasting use.

Is the adhesive only on one side?

yes....I used this product in repairing and replace all the under hood wiring on an 03 Jeep wrangler....finishe job not only had every thing working properly but also looked nice....happy with the results

Are rodents able to eat through this?

I'm pretty sure they can. They can eat through just about anything.

Will this tape hold outdoor insulation wrap around a pipe?

this is an electrical tape used in automotive wiring ...it can withstand the extreme temperatures in under the hood applications....I don't think this would be a good wrap for your situation
