Well made, high cushion shoe with room for improvement
Extremely happy with the cushion on these things. Perfect for logging a lot of miles. Nice aesthetics and you'll never have to worry about chaffing on the back of your ankle as it's got a flexible, ergonomic material.Perfect for my high arches, these neutral shoes allow the foot to flex naturally (read not stability shoes).Room for improvement: I can tell NB tried to trim every ounce of weight and they did make an extremely light shoe with high cushion..... but the top is too sparse in my opinion. There's no insulation so run in cold weather and you will feel it. I would have sacrificed a little extra weight for some additional comfort up top in the tongue area. Also, the elastics straps that hold the tongue in place are a good idea but too tight. I had to snip them with scissors so my feet were comfortable. If anything I have narrow feet (6ft 175 lb) so I can't imagine it's comfy for many people. All in all I would buy this should again, it's very comfortable and 90% the perfect show for me.

Good support, good cushion, worth the purchase
I am coming back to running after a 2 year hiatus. I had a foot and knee injury, let myself get fat, out of shape, and lazy! I changed my diet, began a regimen of intermittent fasting, strength training, stretching, and hr-based cardio training and lost 35lbs.With the weight loss and all the training combined I have been able to return to running. I always loved running. I helps get my head in the right place. I don’t go quite as far and no where nearly as fast, but I at least I’m going. When you quit moving, you quit moving.I knew the shoes I chose would have to fit right while also providing the right amount of cushion and support. These shoes fit the bill. Now… I am only putting 8-12 miles a week on them right now. I am certainly not training for any marathons. Having done that kind of training in the past, I think these would definitely hold up, especially if you are more svelte.Negatives… probably the uppers. They are that meshy type fabric. It gives a little too much if you have to make lateral adjustment.

Great everyday shoes for folks who need more support
Since I've been spending most days in a desk chair in my home office lately (I mean who isn't, right?) I've developed some lower back and hip pain issues. I started forcing myself to take breaks and get exercise and that helps, but I could tell my old shoes and house slippers weren't helping any. My wife and father-in-law both have these shoes and swear by them so I decided to try them out.Thank God for Amazon Wardrobe because the size I thought I needed was definitely too big and the size I thought would be too small fits perfectly. I love the color and designs on these shoes. They're interesting and textured without being too gaudy. They look black and grey in the photo but actually present as a very dark blue in person, which I like. They are super comfortable and the level of arch support is perfect. My back pain is basically gone, and my hip pain is greatly diminished when I wear these shoes and move around more during my day.I'm not a medical expert (and will likely have to see one about my hip if this persists), but I can recommend these shoes to anyone else who is looking for a little more comfort and support during these odd times.

Almost one of the best NB
Having previously ran with version v8 and v9 I had high hopes for this version since v10 fit was a flop. This shoe resembles the lastest version of the Beacon which I own and is one of the best fitting shoe from the NB line but lacks the cushioning for a long run shoe. So the V11 upper is very soft and breathable hugging the foot without any detectable hot spots. The heel is not quite the same as the beacon, a bit looser. But not by much. I am able to run without any movement in the heel cup. Because of the heel flair they are easy to put on ( I use elastic laces) now to the sole... the best cushioning ever for the 1080, hands down. Super soft.! Overall these shoes deserve a 4.5 stars. There is a quality issue inside the tongue of the shoe. An overlay poorly sewn where the tongue attaches to the shoe. At this price point I would not expect this. I shall say that it doesn’t bother me in any way so it’s just a finishing issue more than anything else. If the heel fit would have been like the Beacon I would have given it 5 stars. I will buy again

Lightweight and comfy wide
First) I bought these for my husband who has wide feet. I absolutely loved the color, fit and have become his favorite running shoes.Second review) This is an added review to the one above. This is my husband’s third pair in these shoes. I’ve ordered the red, blue and recently yellow for him (he says the fit is just right). I’ve ordered other shoes and have had to return. These seem to be the only NB style that is true to its overall fit (performance, arch support, fit, quality)! Hoping color red becomes available again and a new color like neon orange is added.

Wow There is a Shoe God!!!
I have been training hard with my iFIT enabled treadmill and was having issues with my shoes causing me to have shin splints and pain in my knees. Now that I have worn my New Balance 1080 V10 on an intense workout, I can say just one thing, AMAZING!!! the wide fit is perfect for those who have flat feet and do not want huge arch supports. The rebound in the "Fresh Foam" soles is truly amazing. With every stride, the curvature of the sole propells you forward effortlessly especially when training on inclines doing intervals. These shoes were defintely designed for runners to get the most energy with the less amount of effort. Way to go New Balance!!! I would recommend these shoes to anyone who is looking for a comfortable running shoe that will reduce imapct injuries and knee pain.
