This version is everything that you wanted the original version to be.
The old version of these did a pretty good job of keeping my feet dry under most conditions. HOWEVER.. they were a huge pain to put on, and even worse remove post ride. Additionally the durability left quite a bit to be desired, not only did they tear easily when trying to put them on, but the watertight seal around the calf loosened over time allowing water to come in from the top and soak your feet from the top down. The old model was more or less a product that you could count on (maybe) once or twice if you could manage to get them on without ripping them. The new version is very easy to put on, and it seems like the thicker material will be much more durable for repeated use and holding its shape, I rode with them on in 40 degree drizzle and my feet were totally dry after a 2 hour ride.I'll update this after I use these for a proper rain ride, but I suspect that these will do very well.Update 3/29/21:Both shoe covers split on me after ~6 uses, updating this from 5 to 3 stars. Thankfully the day they broke while I was putting them on wasn't too cold. These do a fantastic job in even the heaviest of rain.. I find that the shorter the sock you use with them the better the resuts. These are more durable than the old ones, but are definitely still delicate.. I will keep a spare pair of them on hand so that I don't get stuck on a cold rainy day without dry feet.

Yeah, these might just work as prescribed.
The short answer: Buy them if the goal is dry feet, or read on... I ride a road bike and I try to not let the rain deter me from a ride. So over the years, I have tried various clothing to keep me dry. I can tolerate being wet, but cold wet feet and hands, on any 2+ hours ride can take the fun out. Wet with sweat is no different, and I take issue with some companies' "breathable" fabric marketing claims, but that's another story. Anyway, I have tried many top cycling brands shoe covers that claim to keep your feet dry with - glued seams, taped seams, neoprene, or the latest water-repellant fabric. None have worked for me so far. Regardless of the water repellency of their magic fabric, if the seams are not taped/glued you're wasting money. If the seams are taped/glued, then great! But wait, my feet still got wet...so what gives? Well depending on the amount of rain, ride duration, water spray from the road, I found the water would build up and run down my legs and seep through the top of the shoe covers, and my feet are wet and cold again. This Velotoze shoe cover also creates a tight seal high above my ankle, so I think they might just be the solution I have been looking for. Also, tape up any venting under the shoes and you should have warm and dry feet! No rain yet, I will update if I find any issues.

Almost perfect...
I HATED the original velotoze shoe cover. They protected your feet and provided an aero advantage, but they were so fragile, you could only get a few rides out of them. My first pair I tore trying to put on. These are a VAST improvement over the original and have so far lasted over a season or riding with no visible wear or damage. They are much easier to put on... sort of. I'm giving them a 4/5 because the snaps can be a pain to connect, but overall way, way better than the original version. They're still too difficult to put on for the tri-bike transition stage, but for time trials, they're a great marginal gain. If you need a free 5 watt gain, these will do the trick.

Excellent inclement weather covers
These are one of the few overshoes that work in wet weather. Easy to put on, wind/water proof and great aerodynamics compared to other shoe covers (since they fit skin tight). As a size 44.5 (11 US) shoe I got the Large which are perfect. They are snug once on but not so tight you can't easily get them on. Anyone complaining about having issue putting them on are not following the directions since they are super easy to get on if you put them on before your shoes and roll them down on your shoe once you put it on. They can get warm since they don't breath but I personally only use them for cooler rides. If it's raining and warm, just wear nothing and dry out your shoes after the ride.

Not a good overshoe imo
Wore these for one time and returning. Right out the package the toe part ripped on the right boot separating them. Then it literally takes 5 minutes to get these on. And because of the material, it attracts dirt, dust, etc. bought these for warmth and not rain. You will come home filthy. While these seem like it would keep your feet dry, warm not so much. Wore these once and returing

Great product, although it did not meet my expectation
The product came in a timely fashion via USPS; Thank you for that. The product was exactly how it was described: lovely design, silicone material, high viz yellow color.... aesthetically, right on par with the description. They fit perfect to my feet (size12), unfortunately however not even 20 miles in the first time using them the buttons on the ride sleeve began coming unsnapped on its own to the point they actually stretched out of its placement. when taking the sleeve off the material gave way also.Recommendations: slightly stronger silicone material. reenforce the button snaps somehow, use an alternative (Velcro maybe? who knows) or get rid of them all together and just stick to the sleeve (Velotoze 2.0)I'm hoping my replacement pair doesn't have the same issue

Poor Quality
I bought these for my son, they tore putting them on the First use!, very disappointed with the quality for a well known brand. hopefully this isn't another brand name before quality customer products.
