Could you also use this for lumbar measurements?

I am a pediatric PT, and use this to measure neck ROM in infants with torticollis. When held in the transverse plane, rotation is measured, and when held in the frontal plane, lateral flex ion is measured. You would probably be able to measure lateral flexion at the lumbar spine, but l don’t think you could get forward flexion or rotation.

Does this come with instructions on how to use it?

No, but if you use it for babies w/ torticollis, there are protocols available.
