Neo by Oyaide d+ USB (USB A-Male to USB B-Male) – Hi-Speed and Durable Digital Cable for DJ’s, Musicians and Producers

This is my second product from the brand. I bought a set of interconnects that I felt improved the sound on my HiFi rig so I decided that I would try them for a USB cable after I did some A/B testing with a Staples branded cable and a Radio Shack cable. I found that there WAS a difference that I could hear— so a step up in quality would most likely follow suit here. I went for a 3 foot length since I have this situation that my Google Chromecast Audio streamer has a glitch that prevents playing audio files at 96 or 192 seamlessly— it glitches. ALSO, my Dac needs a USB connection for MQA— so since I listen midfield, I could do a hardwire connection and still control the app from my iPad tethered to the Dac. Do I like the color in this application? No. I like the color, but it is distracting. I would have liked a black option. The sound quality isn’t a revelation at Redbook level but it allows for hi res and MQA which— as any music lover knows with streaming services— is a mixed bag depending on the recording. Sometimes, the Redbook is BETTER sounding than the hi res versions. I do Reccomended it but I can’t say if it is better than other competing cables within $50 of this one. But it is better than stock USB...
