Matrikx Brand Compatible Carbon Pre and Post RO Filter to replace GE FX12P (2pack)

Better value and a better price. The original were way over priced, over 2X's the cost as Matrikx and I can't tell the difference, Maybe some "Rocket Scientist" can but I can't...

I strongly advise that you to check the filters upon arrival. Unfortunately, I had the RO system fully disassembled and pitched the old filters in the trash before unwrapping these filters and had to move forward. The top plastic ring on the prefilter was glued at a slight angle instead of being straight. I tried to straighten the ring but it would not budge. This means the top rubber seal is at an angle and may not provide a full seal. Unfortunately, this is Christmas week so I had to move forward with assembly and hope that it made a sufficient seal when I tightened the sump in place.

Easy to put in and seem to be working about a month that I have dad them.....price was right in comparison what I had used before

when I recieved the filters I found that one filter was as pictured and made in the usa, the other filter was different and made in china, weather the second filter is inferior or not, regaurdless the seller does not specify that they are selling two different types , one is made in china only Made in USA , were also taped together with packing tape, I could have bought imported filters for alot cheaper, I feel I was misslead, on a positive note the water tastes good How long the imported filter will last Remains to be seen

Seem to be good quality, and cheaper than GE. I do wish it was clearer which cartridge went where (I've long since lost the owners manual.

I tried to save few bucks and ordered these instead of brand GE.Package arrived, 2 filters packed together with torn plastic, don't mention which one is pre and which one post filter.What makes me angry is we go to Starbucks and pay $4 for a cup of coffee and then we try to save money on a product which we will use for 6-8 months and is very important to our health.I doubt is made in USA and doubt is safe to use.Why not buy the original for a little more and have peace of mind.I think this is made in Mexico and then illegally marked made in USA !!

Works fine - the only reason I rated it down is that there is no labeling on the filter itself to distinguish which is the pre and which is the post filter. So if you don't take note when removing the packaging, I didn't see any way to know which is which. Fortunately I realized this before removing the packaging!

It works like the original. Good price, good expedient service. Recommended for all GE FX12P replacements. Will continue to purchase it.
