Works for slides but not larger negatives that I wanted to look at ??? But is a good sharp unit - Thanks

I have viewed both slides and film and both work well. Some reviews said that only slides with cardboard frames fit the slot. This has not been my experience. I even have slides in metal frames and slides in cardboard frames that are fully encased in clear plastic. All of them have worked perfectly.

I ordered this viewer to go through a large number of 35mm slides rather than loading them all in to a slide carousel and viewing them with the projector. This saves me time and makes it easier to decide which ones to then view on a screen using the slide projector. It serves that purpose and the picture quality is good but as several have noted, the slides often get stuck coming out of the chute. It’s not a huge deal but given the small amount of space to try and grab the slide and pull it out it does slow you up and take some effort to get a hold of the slide. It’s also somewhat humorous that the directions which recommend you read through before using, barely exist. I wanted to primarily use it plugged into a wall outlet instead of using batterie’s but didn’t see the wall plug at first. There are three adapters that come with the unit presumably for different countries and you have to twist the adaptor you need onto another piece to make it fit. This isn’t a bad idea and I’m sure most people will figure this out but a note on the directions would have made this clear. I’m giving the viewer four stars though and would recommend it given the cost and decent viewing quality, if you can accept the fact you’ll spend time pulling slides out when they get stuck.

Easy to use and great picture quality

Worked great right out of the box. So easy to use was enjoying slides I haven't seen in nearly sixty years.

Ejecting slides feature does not work well. To get slide out you need to turn it upside down.

I purchased this unit for my father who has a large collection of 2x2 slides. His slides are mostly in thin-format plastic mounts. None of these fit in this unit, even though they measure 2x2. The response from the seller is: "This viewer is only intended for slides with cardboard around it. The plastic mounted slides will not fit in the slot." This is not at all made clear in the description. I assume this same design flaw applies to all the other similar other-brand models of this viewer. :(
