I should preface this review with an admission that I did not purchase these drapes for the usual purpose, which is to block sunlight. I didn't buy these for a window at all, but to block the light from a sink vanity. My husband and I bought a house that was built in the 80s, and it seems to me that 80s contractors believed "open concept" was a great idea in the main bedroom and en suite. For some reason, the vanity and sink for the en suite bathroom is in the middle of the closet and the room with the toilet and shower/tub. My husband gets up at 5:45 AM because he's a masochist, and I prefer to wake up naturally with the sun. But when he gets up to get ready, he turns on the vanity light which lights up the room and wakes me up. I'm not particularly please to be awake before the sun, it's not natural. As a short term solution, I took some light diffusing voiles and hung them from a tension rod across the opening. Aside from disguising the sight of the vanity itself, they didn't help with the light. So I bought these drapes at 96" in the lovely green. It says olive, I say these are too dark for olive, but as I have varying shades of green in the main bedroom, it isn't an issue.plus I love the color. The were initially a little shorter than my existing voiles, but that was due to being severely wrinkled from packaging. After I took my hand held travel steamer to them, the feel straight. They hang at the correct length post steam, and when my husband pulls them together in the morning, they do effectively block the light from the vanity. However, I did notice that when I was on the other side and the sun was filtering through the window in the bedroom that the sunlight DID show through the fabric from the other way. I don't know if these would be 100% effective at blocking sunlight to a blackout effect. I'm rating them 5 stars because: they are pretty, the fabric is soft, they were much heavier than I anticipated for the price, the color is lovely, and they have performed the office for which they were intended beautifully.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE CURTAINS! They are a game changer with darkening a room and making it warmer. I have extremely tall windows and they look perfect! They bring an elegance and warmth to my bedroom. Exactly what I was looking for. The color is spot on!

Very heavy weight drapes that provide significant insulating properties. The color is vibrant and soft to the touch. They do a great job in darkening a good. Classy look for a good price.

These MIULEE Velvet Curtains offer sumptuous fabric and a wide range of lengths and colors. I got these to hang in an open doorway between two rooms which were originally open porches and have no insulation and windows that are in no way energy efficient. Only one of the rooms has an ac/heating vent and when it's quite cold or very hot, the single vent can't keep both rooms comfortable so neither room is comfortable. Because my house is very old and has high ceilings, I was drawn to the the multiple lengths available in these drapes. I also loved the variety of colors offered and that they are thermal insulated. When they arrived, I was pleasantly surprised that the fabric is so nice! The velvet has a very short nap - more like a velour - and it's very soft. The fabric is also thick enough to hang beautifully. There are large, silvertone, grommets at the top that allow you to hang the drapes from a rod. The grommets are large enough to accomodate a fairly thick rod. I actually used a fancy, tension, shower curtain rod and it works perfectly and looks amazing. The drapes look fantastic and more importantly, they really work. It's currently winter and these drapes block off the unheated room so effectively that the other room actually stays toasty! I am ordering more of these drapes and I am truly happy with them. So why the 4 stars instead of 5? Well, some of the hems on the long sides of the drapes are not well executed. (Not all of the side hems were this way.) Some pull up so much that the bottom hem line is wonky. This is actually a common occurrence when sewing a hem along a grainline unless you take extra steps to counteract this as you sew. Because I am an experienced sewist with a sewing machine, I just removed the stitching and restitched those. However, if you can't or don't want to do this, you're left with sending the drapes back for a replacement. They are actually worth it, IMO, but others may not feel this way. Anyway, you should be prepared for there to be some issues with this. Otherwise, they exceed expectations.

These curtains are very luxurious. The colour is as shown and goes perfectly with a duvet cover purchased on Amazon. Pleasantly surprised by the quality. They look to be very expensive but very reasonably price.

I have the black one from brand-Story@home which is completely blackout but this one is not blackout ... it has a good look n feel but doesn’t block the sun completely
