L'Oreal Paris Skincare Pure Clay Face Mask with Red Algae for Clogged Pores to Exfoliate And Refine Pores, Clay Mask, at home face mask, 1.7 oz.

I tried the green clay mask a few months ago and really liked it. Eventually I want to try all three, so I started with the red mask this week. The red mask has a better texture than the green mask and spreads easier than the green. Also, when it dries it's not quite as tacky as the green mask. It also has a slightly better smell than the green and it's easier to wash off. When I washed it off my skin immediately felt like it went through a big shock: almost irritated. I was worried I would break out or be redder than a lobster the next day. The initial feeling wore off after a few minutes and then my face felt almost naked. Really fresh like all the crud had been scrubbed off. The next morning my skin felt super soft and there was no sign of irritation. This works for my skin as a gentler version of an exfoliation. I haven't had the best luck with exfoliating masks with my sensitive and acne prone skin, but this one delivers. The only drawback I can report is that it leaves sand grains on my face which requires some more thorough rinsing, but it's not too hard to deal with. Next I'm going to try the black mask. I LOVE charcoal skin products so I'm hoping to go 3 for 3 with these masks. So far, the green and the red masks are 100%.

I recommend this product and all the Loreal clay masks and scrubs. It doesn't dry my face out, it doesn't make me break out, and it doesn't give me chemical burns (which I can easily get because of overly sensitive skin). When I use these masks, my face feels very clean and soft afterward. Now, I do recommend that if you are thinking about buying one of these, just buy any clay mask and one scrub. You don't need to buy all of them. I know they all claim to help in different ways, but they all have similar results. Well-worth results, but similar. I would buy the one whose result claim is closer to what you're looking for. I also enjoyed that you don't have to keep the clay masks for son long, just 10 to 15 minutes. The masks will last you quite some time and value to it price. The product itself is creamy to put on. It dries up after 10 minutes and you rinse it off. Your face looks smoother, pores less visible, cleaner, less red, and even acne looks better. I recommend giving it a try.

I'm pretty new to face masks - I'm just starting my routine and it usually involves a sheet mask that probably does more through the placebo effect than anything else. I wanted to give a real product a try so I did some research and read a lot of reviews and I ended up ordering this. I noticed a difference immediately after the first use, and my skin feels amazing every time I use it. (EDIT: added pics. I've been using this mask about once a week for a few months and these are immediate before/after for my last use. You can notice a smoother texture/complexion as well as cleaner pores. This was after an exfoliating face wash.) Rating: I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars mostly because the size of the product is so small. Being new to this stuff, I'm not sure if this kind of size is standard as I could not find a larger version. The rating is also 4/5 because after the first 2 or so uses I haven't seen any other skin improvements. Immediately after every use I can see a change, but no long-term improvements use after use. In other words, I do really like this product and I will probably buy it again, but it was not amazing. Feel: This face mask doesn't really exfoliate at all. It's supposed to exfoliate as you wash it off but the bits of rock are so few that it doesn't do much. I use an exfoliating face wash instead and then put this on afterward. I have fairly sensitive and very dry skin, so the mask does tingle a bit but it never gets uncomfortable. Once I wash it off my face does feel fantastic - hydrated, plump, and extremely smooth and clean. I do put some light moisturizer on after as my skin is so dry. Results: The first 2 times I used it I noticed an immediate difference that stayed through the next day. Since then it's stayed about the same - it has shrinked and lessened my visible pores as well as clearing out the big ones on my nose. It has also made my skin tone and texture more even throughout, smoothing the overall appearance. However, even with repeated use (about once a week) it has not cleared out those large pores as much as I would've hoped. Considering how much it did the first couple times I expected it to clear them out much more after a few more uses. My boyfriend tried this mask with me once and he was super into it. He almost never washes his face unless I remind him, and after using this he couldn't stop touching his face for hours. He was amazed at how clear and smooth it was. He's Asian American and has what he calls "Asian grease" - basically he has fairly oily skin. Neither of us have had an negative effects from this product.

I absolutely love this mask. It's far more effective than the ilmakiage scrub. This mask cleans and shrinks my pores plus smooths the texture of my skin. Bonus is that it's quite affordable!

Received the Pure Clay masks from L'Oreal Paris for free to try on and review. Out of the three L'oreal Paris Pure Clay masks, the detox & brighten charcoal mask was my absolute favorite! I love that it goes on smoothly and you don't need to put pounds on to cover your entire face. It also washes off as easily as you put it on and smells incredible (shout out to L'oreal Paris for making the scents of the clay masks so great!) As soon as you put it on, you can instantly feel the coolness and the mask tightening on your face. I like to use to detoxing masks since I wear a lot of make up and work out outside and my pores tend to clog up. this mask made my skin tone even out, making it look brighter and glowy and it also made my face feel extremely soft. I originally received this Clay Mask from L'Oreal for free as part of their campaign to bring word of mouth awareness to the product. But after using it for a month, I ended up purchasing another set after going through half the bottle. Since I received and also purchased three different types of Clay Mask which had different purposes, my review will be in three part. Bear in mind that I would probably rate my skin as about normal with a slight tendency to oily on occasion. Pros: Quick & Easy Application and Removal Cons: Container could be smaller Better Instructions Not as Cost Efficient When I received the package of three different types of clay mask, I didn't know which one to use first. I did a quick online research and couldn't find any recommendation. So I decided to go in the order of how the package arrived placed in the box. So L'Oreal Paris Skin Care Pure Clay Mask Purify and Mattify, 1.7 Ounce , than L'Oreal Paris Skin Care Pure Clay Mask Detox and Brighten, 1.7 Ounce and lastly Red Algae. First off, the masks I typically use are the type that comes shaped in a paper mask where you apply it on the face. After applying for 10-15 minute, you remove the paper mask and throw it out. This is my first try at a clay mask so wasn't sure what to expect. So third review is regarding the Red Algae Clay mask. The function of the red algae clay mask is to exfoliates and unclog and tighten your pores. The color of this mask was red and sandy. Applying the red algae clay to the face was slightly different than the other two mask. The other two masks was easy to apply an even layer. But with the red algae there was a sandy texture and hence harder to have an even layer. I also had to apply more liberally with the red algae to get a full facial coverage. After application, you need to leave it on for about 10-15 minutes. I tend to go the max at 15 minutes but if your skin is sensitive I would probably just max out at 10 minutes in the beginning. With this red algae clay I never felt my skin tighten at all which made removal of the mask even easier. But the sandy residue really felt odd for me. After using this red algae mask, I didn't see anything change on my face immediately or after a day / two. I still ended up purchasing another bottle of this to see if I would see any change after prolong use. Because of the sandy texture and requiring more liberal application, I would rate the usage to about 10 full facial application at max.

I swear by this mask and actually bought it as a gift as well. Having sensitive skin causes me to be selective with skin care, this product NEVER disappoints. The clay feels cool and refreshing when applied, it hardens up a bit then becomes an exfoliating agent as you rinse it off. The easiest way to apply is having a silicone spatula designated for mask application, it goes on smooth as butter and a little goes a long way. The mask shouldn’t be rinsed off while in the bath, there will be leftover residue on the tub and near the drain. By far my FAVORITE exfoliating product, can’t recommend this enough!

I have always used the black clay mask which I love but saw great reviews on the red clay. This one is not so much for me as the black mask. If you want a mask for hydrating this is the one for you. If you want more of a clean tight feeling for pores I would recommend the black clay mask. I have t zone oily and dry skin. Very sensitive. Like other reviews the black clay mask can be messy when washing off but worth it. Just be sure to either take off mask in the shower or don't be wearing your favorite shirt. Grat product line just finding which mask works best for your skin. For my skin type fair, sensitive, pores in t zone and dry in the winter the black clay mask works best and feels great after use.
