Just got it today and used once. I used coconut oil and added butter on the top. It was really good! So easy and clean up was easy too! I ordered butter flavored salt and I’m going to try kettle corn. 3 quart was a good amount for two people. I love my other Dash appliances so I’m hoping this will last a long time.

This popcorn maker makes excellent tasting popcorn. It is better than microwave popcorn and even better than pan made popcorn. It's extremely easy to use and almost every kernel pops. The butter melting feature is nice, especially if the butter is warmed prior to popping in the microwave or pan. It makes excellent kettle corn just by adding sugar. It stores easily and pops very fast. I highly recommend this popper. it is a very well engineered product at a great price.

I have the smaller one and while I think they're all overpriced for 100% plastic item, it does work well so far. I like popcorn to snack on like everyone else reading this and air poppers send kernals flying all over the kitchen when popping, microwave poppers leave half the kernels unpopped, so I thought this was the way to go. It pops 95% of kernels, so that's nice. The bowl flips so it stores in the same space as a large glass bowl, which we wanted. Butter delivery and cover cap are great idea, works well. Cons: 100% plastic that feels cheap and flimsy. Heating element takes a few minutes to heat up, but it gets there. the arm that stirs the popcorn is removeable with a knob on top to unscrew, clever way they designed this. I'd be surprised if this lasted more than a year or two, but if it does, then I'd give it 5 stars.

I did not get paid to make this review. I feel like I need to say this because I have nothing bad to say about this. I had purchased another popcorn maker from somebody else which I know right away already makes me sound like I’m some kind of influencer or something. But I’m not Let me tell you what I personally like about this. The other one that I had looked pretty cool. I like the idea that that thing would spin around and I like that concept so I bought it immediately about a year ago. I’ve used it for a year and the popcorn was good and I was excited to have an automatic popcorn machine. However , the cap that goes on top of the bowl didn’t really ever work very well. It looked like the lid for like a coffee can. So also, I didn’t have a lid. This one was great. It literally popped up the corn. It just looks like it’s more solid. It didn’t less than five minutes. It does OK. I don’t even care it could’ve been 10 minutes. I still would’ve been happy. But for some reason, the popcorn was super fluffy. The thing was strong enough to push the popcorn in circles, even when it was Popped near the top. I did use these bags that you could see in my video. I don’t work for that company either. But I did like how they are automatically sized. I like the oil they use. But I don’t like the powder, so I always put Salt, pepper, garlic, and real butter. But it has the lid lid is substantial and solid and it snaps on. The bottom that is on there is really great. It’s really substantial and snaps on really hard. The only microscopically bad thing is so microscopic. I should even mention it. Is I can’t figure out when I should put the butter on the top to have it start dripping in because it pops so fast which is a benefit problems we want to have. That I don’t know when to put the butter in and if it goes too early, so dripping in the pan and then it slows the popcorn down. At least that’s what it did to the other one. So screw it throw the butter in the microwave melted Throw it in on top after you crunch it out. It is really substantial I really love my popcorn maker thank you whoever invented and created a quality product will always sing the praises of quality products in the marketplace.

Pops thoroughly, tastes great. We bought movie theatre butter salt & sprinkled it on there. Tastes exactly like movie popcorn! It did not burn or undercook. Not many unpopped kernels at all. The temperature was perfect. We did have better luck popping one serving at a time; it seems to cook better. But not complaining. Watching it pop is very mesmerizing & relaxing!

Love this popcorn popper. The on/off switch broke the second time I used it. Now I just plug it in and it turns on.

Love my Dash SmartStore Popcorn maker! After returning another brand (w higher rating) that was flimsy, this one is much more sturdy and makes great popcorn. Easy to use, although if you use glazes, have stiff brush handy for cleanup.

Okay so I bought this a few months ago and wanted to give myself and my family some time using it before making a review. So it's a proper review of it. Pros - You can adjust how much butter, oil, salt or flavor you want to put on your popcorn. So it's pretty healthy for a snack and you can eat enough to enjoy if your watching your calories or salt. My family and I really love using this to make homemade popcorn. I use butter and flavored oil so it's tasty, along with popcorn salt. Cons - This thing is made so poorly! When making the popcorn the bullets of corn being flung to the top of the bowl where the holes are they can come out. With blazing hot oil and it's no fun to be hit with. The open holes in the bottom of the bowl, while are nice to drip your butter onto your popping corn, does make things a bit dangerous. Then when you finish your popping you flip the entire thing over to keep the hot burner from burning your popcorn and as soon as you do that the oil will run down the sides of your bowl. No I'm not using too much oil or butter it's a rather small amount. Then you go to place the lid on so you can shake the popcorn salt into your popcorn. OMG..... who thought that was a good idea with greasy oil having gone down the sides and the tight fit is a struggle where you feel like your going to bust the damn thing! Hot popcorn is in the bowl and is hot to hold onto with grease making it difficult to use any strength to pop it on. So your wiping it down multiple times. You get the lid on, you shake, you go sit down on the couch to watch your movie and go to pull the lid off. You have to use your finger nails under the edge to get any leverage to pull it off because even though you've wiped the outside of the bowl down it's still greasy. Your back to worrying about breaking the bowl. But the popcorn is super tasty. So you forgive all of this. Until you go to wash everything. I have to wash it twice with soap directly on the bowl and tops to break the greasy feel from the items. Craziness! Then the base you wipe it down. It has creavaces that hold salt and oil in and no matter how meticulous you are you will not get clean. Oh one last thing I forgot, the on/off switch is not easy to turn off. It's like it's made to be hard so it doesn't accidentally get turned off while cooking. But you have to turn it off before the popping completes so you don't burn your popcorn. So all in all if you can find a better design I'd recommend that. But this machine works once you get to know how to use it. Just wish I'd researched a little more into the design before finally getting the family a popcorn machine. It makes you NOT want to make the stuff. Even though it's delicious!

Al principio dudé un poco porque las tiritas empezaron a mover los granos de maíz a los lados pero una vez que empezaron a reventar todo quedó súper bien. Tarda un poquito en comenzar pero las palomitas quedaron muy bien, el bowl es muy útil para servirlas ahí mismo y no ensuciar algo más. Es muy fácil de usar, solo un botón y ya.
