The last Troxel cracked in half on impact but my head was spared when a horse crashed into a tree. The latest helmet is super comfortable with a discreet dial in the back that you can click to achieve the most comfortable and secure fit. And they are not bad looking. The visor is really small so if you require sun protection, there is a company called 'Da Brim' that sells after market visors.

**Q: My niece is 11. Her mom says she fits in small. There are no more so can I safely buy her a medium and tighten the helmet to fit?**
A: I don't think so.  A helmet needs to fit their head so it protects them and stays in place.  I had the same problem - they didn't have his size- waited a week and it was available!

**Q: I have the troxel sport from about 2001, size small 6 1/4 - 6 3/4.  i see the sizes run different now.  should i get x-small or small in the spirit?**
A: I got this for my 7 yr old daughter December 2018, She is an extra small.

Wonderful helmet that my 5 yr old wears! I like the adjustable knob, so I can ensure fit each time he gets on. Lots of padding to ensure there aren’t gaps.
