hi im 5'2 165 and u usually wear a large should i get my regular size or go a size up and do they run small

Hello, I am 5 ft. 2 and 180 pounds. They definitely run small. I like my clothes loose so I ordered an extra large. It was not too tight but it was tighter than I like so I sent it back and ordered an extra extra large.

Why does this say a family set but you have to buy separetly?

Um. Maybe because family size, gender and age all vary a great deal and it’s simply not possible (or practical) to offer ‘sets’ that will work for everyone? Some families have small children of varying ages/sizes, others have no small children. Some couples might want matching pajamas for a party, etc. Others may only have need for one pair. Some may buy MANY pairs, in a variety of sizes/genders for a very large extended family group photo and/or gathering. Basically, there is no way to come up with a ‘family set’ that would work for all families… so they are sold separately, as are ALL other ‘matching’ pajamas from any company, whether they are high end, expensive pajamas or budget-friendly Amazon pajamas. They are listed as ‘family sets’ because you can create a ‘family set’ that works for your ‘family’ and/or personal needs. As can every other family or group of friends or couple, or people who only need one pair. The companies/sellers assume customers possess the common sense to figure this out. Can you imagine the requests and complaints if these were sold in standard ‘family’ sets of, let’s just say, a large mens, small womens, 2T and 4T? 😂 
“Those sizes won’t fit my kids, how can I switch?!”
“I have three kids, how do I order an extra pair?!”
“How come the women’s pajamas are a size small, you just assume all women are petite?! This is body shaming, I will never purchase from your company!”
“My husband and I both need mediums, and we don’t have children, are we not considered a family?” 
“Where are the plus sizes???”
“Hey, we need these for adult children, not toddlers… how do we get adult sizes (ranging from S to XXL) instead of toddler?!”
“I only want one pair of these, can I just buy one?”

And the obvious…
“Why not just sell them individually so people can order exactly what they need?” 🤔🙄
