Japanese Snack and Candy Variety Pack With English Content List and Handmade Origami

I wanted some authentic Japanese snacks to share with family and friends while we look at photos of our recent Japan holiday. After reading the reviews, I thought I could not go wrong with this assortment, and that is definitely the case!When I opened my box, I was greated by a friendly origami ghost who now lives on my desk. There was also a letter explaining the theme of the month and the box contents (photo of each product and short description), which was super helpful. You never know what exactly will be included in the order as Freedom Japanese Market mixes it up regularly. The box was filled to the brim with diverse items so there was truly something for everyone - frog eyes and chips with sour plum flavoring for the more adventurous, cute marshmallows and puffed corn for the wary. All of the snacks fit the theme of the month beautifully. My friends and I had loads of fun sampling the snacks and for me and my partner, it was like a lovely blast from our past holiday. I could not be happier with the contents and will definitely order another box to recreate that holiday feeling.As a side note, when I contacted Freedom Japanese Market about an issue with the order (which came up through no fault of their own), Ken answered almost instantly and remained super friendly and very professional until the issue was resolved. I truly cannot praise this box and its makers enough. Thanks for the great experience!

I gave it as a Christmas gift and received it within a couople of weeks from ordering in early December, but it included Halloween-themed treats from October. Mos to it was what you might call junk food. My son is very interested in Japan (he studies the language in High School. I thought there would be some more things along the lines of interesting trinkets or printed material.

Great assortment. My daughter liked the variety as well as the number of pieces in the box. However, most the candy is an acquired taste. Unless you like Japanese candy, be prepared to enjoy the packaging, design and creativity more than the flavor (Americans). I am sure in Japan it is absolutely delicious and they might have the same opinion of American candy.

I sent this to my daughter as a college care package. She loved it! It gave her a diversion from the endless studying and opened her to some new "flavors" in life! She would text me when she would try a unique treat and let me know her review of the item. It was fun for her and nice for me to enjoy the candy through her.The package arrived when stated and all of the items were as represented. I would order again.

I bought this as a present for my boyfriend and it was awesome! It felt so cool and authentic- not your average Japanese candy sold in America. It was personal with the origami and note and contained exotic snacks! Warning, it comes with more chip based snacks than gummy or hard candies. Personally I’d prefer more candies but it depends on what box you purchase. Either way if you’re into Japanese culture it makes an awesome purchase!

I really liked how fun and different all the snacks were. I wish there was a few more weird flavors which is why I didn’t put 5 stars but I would 100% but again

Stopped by customs (NJ) and one snack removed for having meat despite there being no meat listed in the item description. Box was damaged by customs and not properly resealed.

I really lived the variety of the snacks, from spicy to sweet it was a really good mix of different products. I got mine near Halloween, so I got some super cute Halloween themed packaging and a cute origami skull. The packing list that comes with the snacks is incredibly helpful as well. I really enjoyed the box, not only for the snacks, but for how well put together and enjoyable it was!
