Awesome blankets (a strange choice of words, I know)! I bought these because they were listed as being heavier than other typical moving blankets and since I was looking to use them for acoustic treatment, it was just what I was looking for.I have a small 10-12 bedroom that I record acoustic guitars and vocals in (all other instruments are DI). Four of these on my walls along with the carpet and bed greatly reduced the flutter echo in the room. Night and day difference. Gonna pick up another set as I still have some uncovered spots and nothing on my ceiling. These also have the added bonus in my case of better insulating my poorly insulated room and working as blackout curtains for my windows.EDIT: Needed more to treat more echoes in my room, so I bought another set! Still working great!If you record at home and are looking for a good budget way to reduce the sound reflections in a room, obviously acoustical treatment foam is the best option, but these are a great start. Hey, they still use blankets like this to control sound in high-end studios where money is no object. Pick 'em up.And yeah, they're probably pretty good for their actual intended purpose, or whatever.

I ordered three sets from different vendors to compare all with approximately the same weight. What I will say is the fabric is slock and the stitching on these easily snagged. So far not much difference between the 90/lb weight and the 85/lb.

Stapled to cover window. Used 2 on each widow that measured 60x60. 2 windows, each face busy streets. Cut noise in half. From appx 86db to 45db and made room cooler. Theyre a bit pricey for what they are but, I'm getting better sleep..

These are a good heavy weight for furniture protection...twice the weight of the cheaper ones...

We purchased these to make a cover for our outside freezer, to create a space around it over a frame to protect it from big swings in temps. But we also use one of them as a floor cover for when it rains - we dry the dog's off on it and wipe the mud off. These blankets are super heavy duty (and just plain heavy!!!) - well worth the money.

These blankets were bought for a move across country. Furniture including cream colored leather couch and love seat, light grey sectional and a white wood desk. All of them got dyed SPOTS of BLUE and blue color in the natural lines/creases of the leather! They were wrapped in the blankets and then placed in moving in the pods which got moved and unloaded in about 2.5-3 weeks. These items were less than 2 years old. I have tried everything to get the stains out, including using goof off and magic eraser! The cheeper blankets we bought from uhaul and used for other items including the ottoman for the white couch, didn't leave a single mark. I strongly recommend finding a better made product or not using on leather, any light fabric or light wood.

This blanket weight helps a lot. At first I thought I would not need so many moving blankets......BUT.........as I filled my rented Pack-Rat unit I discovered I needed all of them. They are great for separating furniture. I could wrap every other piece then put furniture piece unwrapped in between. Also worked well just spreading on top of the first layer of furniture so the second layer could not hurt those pieces under. The pack-Rat unit(s) moved from Connecticut to Florida. I had absolutely no breakage and no scratches. I attribute much of this success to these extra heavy moving blankets
