Larger selection of spray heads than other models
Other models of submersible solar pumps only have spray heads that direct flow vertically. When placed in the center of a 19-inch dia. birdbath in a location that funnels wind between houses, water is quickly diverted overboard in any but the mildest breeze. This pump has 2 heads that direct the flow horizontally, doing a good job of keeping the water contained where it belongs. Only problem is that they are made of loud, conspicuous yellow plastic rather than subdued black like the other pieces. I've tried using other versions of solar pumps that have the submersible solar panels and always had problems with accumulation of algae on the collector. The big benefit of the remote solar panel means not having to contend with the algae build-up, as well as being able to aim it for more direct exposure to the sun. These little pumps do need regular cleaning to prevent eventual clogs by algae and/or debris. Shots of canned compressed air & disposable mascarra brushes ( good for cleaning hummimgbird feeders too) are handy. So far it's doing great. Curious to see how long the little motor lasts.

Great choice for fountain
The media could not be loaded. What I like about this fountain is that it comes with six different heads to change the water patterns, it is very stable in a birdbath with three suction cups on the bottom of the unit to secure it. Even running full power it did not dislodge and stayed in place. The solar panel itself is a large generous size and I found that the sun did not have to be directly on it to run, it also ran in the shade. It requires about two inches of water to operate as the base must be submerged. I first tested this in a shallow bird bath and even in a larger water garden and it worked well in both places. One of the best features is that the solar panel can be mounted and comes with everything necessary to do so if I don't want to simply use the provided stake to put in the ground. The length of the cord is also generous allowing placement of the fountain to be out of the sun if desired. I put the panel in the sun and the fountain on the back porch in the shade, worked wonderful.

Great Product
The media could not be loaded. The Viajero solar fountain is easy to install in a birdbath. The birds love flying through the spray of the fountain. I live in a 55+ and the others comment on how awesome it is throughout the day;-) A must have!!

Works better than expected
The media could not be loaded. Works better than expected! I 3D printed a fish fountain for our goldfish pond. I ran an air tube from the pump up through the fish and it works perfect. I also wrapped the pump with a filter sock and now it doubles as a filter and still pumps water through no problem.

Fantastic solar fountain
The media could not be loaded. Those solar fountain works fantastic. It needs a deep bowl to cover the pump completely but has a great sound and is very easy to install. Begins working instantly.

Sufficient Sunlight???
Yes, the keyword is ' sufficient' which means that it must be in blazing full sun, held over your head while you constantly move and direct the solar panel to a perfect angle so that the pump will continuously work. In other words, my pump only works about 15 mins per day unattended and then it sputters unless I hold the panel and find the sweet spot where the direct sun will actually power the pump. This solar panel is trash. The only thing I like about the product is that it has more attachments than some. This pump and others like it are not really made for average sized bird baths as they tend to overshoot the boundaries of the bath and quickly drain the water. However, I can successfully use this or my other one ( see below) with just the bubbler attachment or no attachment. The other solar pump I purchased is much better and I will buy another one to replace this shoddy thing. I would recommend the: AISITIN 5.5W Solar Fountain Pump built-in 1500mAh Battery Solar Water Pump Floating Fountain with 6 Nozzles, for Bird Bath, Fish tank, Pond or Garden Decoration solar aerator pumpHow this item received any positive reviews is mind boggling

Works great in full sun
As long as it's getting full sun beating on it, it works great, a little shadow/dull day it doesn't work. Wish it had a battery back up. The heads for it fit snug so no leaking out from underneath, that's a plus, but no way to control the flow, so in full sun the fountain shoots really high, making it hard to keep the water inside the birdbath. I had this for a week before mother nature damaged it. I hadn't had a chance to secure it to a wall , and the crazy winds here lately blew it over, panel face down splat, onto the concrete. Going to have to reorder. Otherwise neat little fountain.

A great and simple solar fountain!
The media could not be loaded. This solar fountain is a nice simple piece to add to a bird bath or a little pond. Putting this viajero solar fountain together was not too complicating, the instructions could have been a little bit more detailed. The instructions could have helped explain what the circular foam pieces is for. My dad helped me figure out that the foam piece is to help the solar fountain to become a floating fountain. The fountain is held on by little suction cups that do not stick that well, but if it is weighted down with some pebbles or something it stays in place. The solar panel that powers the fountain works the best on sunny days, but it will still work on a cloudy day. A nice thing about this solar fountain it comes with a variety of different fountain tops. Plus, the option is also given to mount the solar plan on a wall or put it in the ground with the stake. I look forward to using this solar fountain in our little pond when we build one.
