Does it need refrigeration?

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding Bacon Up. We like to refrigerate because we like the texture better when it's firmer. But it should not go bad at room temperature. Be sure, though, to always use a clean utensil EACH time you scoop some out, and DO NOT pour used grease back into the container.

What's the smoke point of this product?

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding Bacon Up. When using Bacon Up, we recommend cooking / frying between 350-375 degrees. When deep frying, if the grease ever gets to 400 degrees, please turn off your fire and let the bacon grease cool to 375 before re-lighting your burner.
